The monkees find love

Chapter 8

Mike and Shaun laid in bed for a few more minutes before Mike sat up. "Wanna go out today, or do you wanna just lay around in bed the rest of the day?"

"Well, they both sound so tempting." Shaun said as she also sat up and pulled Mike's face to hers and kissed him.

"Well, I didn't expect that." Mike said in between kisses.

"Of course you didn't loverboy."

Mike always enjoyed it when she called him Loverboy. He just smiled as he stood up and started getting dressed. She did the same thing a few seconds later. She was just admiring the view she was getting from Mike.

He caught her staring and said: "See something you like?"

"Always."

Once they were both dressed, Mike sat down on the edge of the bed and Shaun sat next to him. "So, what is Mike thinkin' up there?" She tapped his head with her index finger.

"Well, I'm just thinkin' of a nice romantic spot to take my beautiful girl."

"And who is this beautiful girl you speak of?" Shaun said in a joking mannor.

"Well, she is very talented, she has the most beautiful blue eyes, and she has the most fantastic personality and her name just so happens to be Shaun Ortega and she can't be any closer to me."

"That's so sweet Mike. Now, I wanna meet this Shaun person." She smiled and kissed him.

"Remind me to introduce you two." He said wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Now, where are you taking this person to?"

"Hmm, let me think. I want it a very special place for a very special person."

Mike stood up and he took Shaun's hand as she stood up. They both walked over to the door and before Mike opened it, Shaun turned him around and kissed him again.

"You know, we aren't going to get anywhere if we keep doing this." Mike said wrapping his arms around her.

"Okay. Okay. Let's go." Shaun said as she chuckled as Mike's words.

Mike nodded and opened the door as he let Shaun walk out first and he followed.

They both walked out to the car and Mike gave her one last kiss before they both got in to the car. As Mike was driving down the road, something very unexpected happened.

A car crashed into the MonkeeMobile from the driver's side sending the car spinning out of control. The car finally stopped spinning after a few moments.

Mike and Shaun were both knocked unconsious. After a few seconds of being knocked out, Mike woke up. He gave a pained expression as he slowly opened his eyes only to realize what had happened. He tried to look at Shaun to make sure she was okay.

"Shaun?" He questioned. "Shaun, you alright?"

He reached for his seatbelt and tried to unbuckle it. He soon found out he was being pinned by the seatbelt. He heard Shaun moments later.

Shaun was a little dazed about what happened. Every time Mike breathed, it nearly killed him because of how bad he was hurting.

"What happened?" He heard Shaun ask.

"Not sure."

Mike heard sirens from a distance away. He kept trying to unbuckle the seatbelt but he quickly wore himself out. "You alright Mike?"

"I'm pinned. Can't get out. "What about you?"

"Well, the only thing that hurts is my ankle and my head."
