Part Twenty-Six

Toby’s Apartment (Around Nine in the Morning)

            When Toby finally awoke, he awoke to the smell of waffles. He smiled a quickly got out of his bed. He walked into the kitchen and saw Spencer and Emily fixing a large breakfast. “Morning.”, he said, startling the two girls. “Morning.”, Emily laughed. Toby then walked over and kissed Spencer who was flipping bacon.

            “Hungry?”, she asked, a large smile on her face. “If I said ‘no’ you’d probably kill me. So, yes. I’m hungry.”, Toby laughed. Soon, he was handed a plate packed with food. “And to what do I owe this, extremely large breakfast?”, Toby asked. “Just thought you might want a nice meal.”, Emily answered, sitting down across from him. “Well, thank you.”, he laughed, taking a quick sip of orange juice.

            They ate for at least ten minutes, laughing and trying to get everything back to normal. “Well, I think I’m gonna go.”, Emily said, wiping her face and placing her plate in the sink. “Hey Emily.”, Toby said as she grabbed her coat. “Yeah?”, she asked. “Thanks for staying with me.”, he replied with a smile. “You’re welcome.”, she replied, walking out the door.

           “And thank you Spencer.”, he continued. “For what?”, Spencer asked, taking her and Toby’s plate to the sink. “For everything you’ve ever done for me. And for helping me get everything back to normal.”, he answered. “You know I’d never just leave you to suffer. I’m happy to do whatever I can.”, she continued. “I know. Just thought I’d let you know I appreciate it.”, Toby said with a smile, leaning in to kiss her again. “Well you’re welcome.”, Spencer said as they pulled away. Of course, then they just leaned in and kissed again.
