Chapter Nineteen

Huey walked back to his house with bruises and cuts all over his body. He hid his face away from his Grandma Gail as she was waiting for him in the living room.

"Huey......we need to talk." spoke Grandma Gail.

He went to the bathroom and looked at his face through the mirror. "Huey, this is serious." Grandma Gail spoke sternly. Huey tried to put his hoodie over his face. "Take off the goddamn hoodie and look at me!" She yelled.

Huey took off his hoodie to reveal his beaten up face. Grandma Gail sat Huey down in the dining room and put Neosporin all over his sores. "I know you're Harrisboy." Grandma Gail admitted. "You don't have to tell me anything..."

"Grandma....I don't know what to do. Black Plague is too strong." Huey said.

"Now, the Huey I know would never give up to a punk like that." Grandma Gail Said. "I saw the asteroid you had on your desk."

"Grandma....what if I wasn't meant to be Harrisboy?" Huey said. "What if I'm just some guy that got powers by a asteroid?"

"I don't think that asteroid cut you, Huey. I think it chose you." Said Grandma Gail. "I see potential in you. I saw potential in you ever since your parents brought you here. It could have been any child in there that would have had your gift. You're a soldier, Huey. Never forget that."

Grandma Gail kissed his cheek as Huey went back upstairs.

He laid on his bed and texted Katie on his phone.

[Hey Katie, How are you?]

[Oh hey Huey! Crazy day we had at work LOL]

[Yeah LMAO I hope you guys are alright]

[Yeah, my dad is investigating Black Plague. I haven't told him anything about me and him]

[Wouldn't your dad mind? I mean, the world is filled to the brim with superheroes]

[As far as I'm concerned, my dad hates Harrisboy or any superhero for that matter lol]

[Well, what are you doing tomorrow?]

[Me and my little brother Stewart are heading to Worlds Of Fun for the weekend. You can come with if you want?]

Huey looked at his suit with a worried look. He couldn't be distracted as Harrisboy.

[As a matter of fact, I'm gonna be really busy with homework and Mateo.....maybe next time...]

[Oof, tough luck. Anyway TTYL]

Huey's POV

Maybe I should go to Worlds Of Fun. Maybe without her knowing. It wouldn't be weird. Besides I have to keep her safe from the hellbent supervillain trying to destroy the city.

I was confused.

But then I thought.......What would Harrisboy do?
