Huey walked down the streets of Kansas City, weary about his abilities. He tried to hide his face from the public, walking into a alleyway and leaning on the brick wall exhausted.
He heard the voices again as tried to massage his head. "Am I going insane?" Thought Huey. His vision started getting blurry as his point of view zoomed across town. He saw a couple arguing, two kids playing at a park and a construction site across the city. Huey nearly fell to the ground. It was like he was actually there.
"I have......super hearing?" Huey thought. He looked back at his hands and saw that his arms had blue veins all over, flowing power inside him. Huey ran up the steps of a abandoned building and got on a building.
"Okay.....I'm young, smart and full of superpowers." Huey said to himself as he stood on the balcony. "Only one way to prove that...."
He jumped off the ledge and tried to fly, but only ended up falling downward and towards the ground. "Oh no! Oh my God! Aaaaah!" screamed Huey as he fell down the alley.
But he landed inches away from the ground. He soon realized that he was floating in mid air. He soon scooted away as he floated higher from the city. "I can fly?" Huey thought. "I can fly!"
Huey zoomed through the sky, laughing joyfully as he flew through the city. He extended his arms out as he tried to balance himself like a bird. "This is amazing!" He yelled out.
Huey then saw that he was flying towards the Power and Lights building. "Tone it down! Tone it down!" Yelled Huey.
He raised his form upwards as he flew up the building, almost losing his balance.
"No no no!" Huey tried to fly back but ended up nearly hitting the traffic down below. He dodged all the cars and citizens as he flew up higher. He slowed down midair as he looked down at the city.
"Okay, this'll have to get some use to." He thought. He decided to practice flying around the city without crashing into anything.
He flew by the Chiefs Stadium as everyone looked up in the sky in awe. Huey waved to all the people as he flew by. He explored Kansas City as he flew in the sky.
But then, he sensed danger with his super hearing. A crane by a nearby bridge broke apart and fell near a school of full of kids. The school bus was dangling off the bridge as the kids panicked.
Huey quickly flew to the bridge and try to come up with a plan. The bus driver made all the kids go to the back as the bus started to tip over. But Huey caught it as it was about to tumble. Huey used his super strength to pushed the bus back on the bridge. He hid his face with the hoodie he was wearing. He struggled to get the bus in successfully.
People looked at Huey in awe as they were recording this on their phones. The kids cheered for Huey as he panted. The police and firefighters came to the bridge quickly.
"Please let go of the bus and put your hands in the air!" Yelled the police.
"Don't shoot! He's a hero!" Bystanders yelled from the crowds. The firefighters made the officers put the guns down as people clapped for Huey.
"You saved these kids." The fire chief said. "Who are you?"
Huey saw how important he was. This must be how Spider-Man or Superman feel like. He had one name he could go by.
"I'm Harrisboy."
He flew away, billions of people cheering for him on the bridge.
