Chapter Three

Meanwhile, it was midnight at Liggins Incorporated. Lucious was introducing his invention to his board of directors.

"Gentlemen, I would like to introduce to you a machine I was making for several years." Lucious spoke.

"Lucious, I already told you. The grim enhancers aren't ready!" Said Dr Knight. "When I Said 'Human Subjects', I didn't mean you!"

Lucious ignored him and reveal his machine with fusion rays attached to it.

"What the hell is that?" Josh asked confused.

"A youth machine, Mr MacFarlane." Lucious responded. "A machine that not only can save my life, but the life of this company."

"This guy is crazy!" Josh rolled his eyes, seeing Lucious as a senile old man.

"No. Crazy is talking to cats, hearing voices, insane asylums. I'm not crazy." Lucious Said as he strapped himself into his seat with metal restraints.

Dr Knight was hesitant to start the machine as he grab the switch to the machine. "40,000 years of evolution and we've barely even tapped into the vastness of human potential."

Dr Knight flipped the switch, turning on the machine as radiation starts flowing into Lucious's mind, giving him mind grains as he tossed and turned.

The board of directors looked at the machine shaking rapidly as it started to malfunction. Lucious screamed in pain as he took in too much energy. His body starting to turn into black matter as his screams turned into physical electricity.

Dr Knight ran over to stop the machine to power it down. As the black matter wore off, Lucious's eyes were dilated from radiation.

Josh clapped his hands sarcastically as he walking over to his weak body. "Way to go, Liggins. I can't wait until I take this company away from you." Josh chuckled.

Suddenly, Lucious grabbed his arm rather tightly as black matter formed his hand. "Let go.....Let go of me, you crazy old man!"  Josh yelled. He could feel his energy slowly draining inside as Lucious grew more stronger. Josh's skin started to deteriorate as he fell to the ground dead.

Lucious ripped himself out of the chair and stretched out his weary old bones fully restored. Lucious looked in the mirror to see that his hair was not white anymore. It was just like when he was younger. He took off his bifocals and threw them on the ground, smashing them.

Lucious then grabbed Dr Knight by the throat as the other board of directors looked in horror. "Human subjects...." he smirked widely as he sucked all of his energy out of his body, leaving him for dead.

The board of directors ran in terror as Lucious was hungry for power.

"I FEEL INVINCIBLE!"
