Rylan's wolf keeps pace beside my own. My wf is excited to be our after having to stay inside during the fights earlier. Apparently, Rylan's is just as excited.

Leaping over logs and dashing through the bushes, Rylan bumps into me repeatedly, just letting me know where she is. Suddenly, my wolf yips loudly and sprints through the trees. Rylan hurries to catch up when I slide to an abrupt stop on the other side of a bush.

Rylan, unable to stop herself in time, slams into me and we both go flying into the river in front of them. My wolf yips with excitement as the slow moving water works its way through her fur. Rylan scrambles out onto the beach as fast as she can. Shaking her coat, she grumbles at me.

My wolf just scoffs and dives under the water. Surfacing just seconds later, she sprays water at Rylan.

Yips cut off whatever Rylan was thinking about doing back to me. Both of our wolves look toward the direction they came from. My wolf swims out of the water, and shakes the remaining droplets from her fur. Both wolves watch the forest cautiously, as the yips and snarls get closer. A warning growl echoes from my wolf's muzzle as all her hackles stand on end. She does not like this situation.

The group of wolves approaching is howling like they are part of a hunt. And they are headed straight toward us. My wolf sidesteps closer to Rylan and growls, lowly.

Suddenly, the noises cut off. The only sound reaching my wolf's ears are that of pounding paws against the dirt. Rylan may have better senses in wolf form than human, but my wolf's senses are way stronger.

All the fur on our wolfs' back stands up as a wolf struts out of the shadows. He is soon followed by several other wolves.

They are all smaller than Rylan and I in wolf form, but more just keep slinking onto the shore around us.

Pretty soon there is a whole pack's worth, and they all small like younglings. The snarls start back up as Rylan side steps closer to me.

My wolf recognises the odds of these wolves injuring both our wolves and nudges Rylan with her head, gesturing for her to head back home. Rylan's wolf snarls in response, making my wolf shove her harder this time. Rylan doesn't want to leave me with these wolves, but if she doesn't leave to get help, neither of us will be found till tommorow. And that is just too long.

Rylan finally gets it and darts away from the group. A few wolves peel away from the group to chase her, but the main group stays focused on my wolf and I. It seems like we are their main target.

My wolf backs up, keeping the water to her back. She wants to have one safe side. The wolves suddenly start tightening their circle before a voice cuts through the growls.

"What do we have here?"

I growl at the man who steps out of the group of wolves. It is clear they aren't a set up group, but this man is obviously the one who set all this up. The way every wolf stops when he speaks is all the evidence I need. He is also the wolf I fought earlier, Cole.

"I thought it would be harder to find you, though." My wolf snarls loudly at this, her displeasure echoing around the clearing.

"I have to admit, for someone who thinks she is so high and mighty, this should be a price of cake." With a cocky smirk, the guy claps his hands once. With that, the wolves pounce on me.

The wolves all dive for me. They are all hell-bent on causing damage to my wolf and I. Several wolves snap and bite at each other to get to me, the masses all flowing towards me.

When the first wolf leaps at me, my wolf pushes into control. She snarls and rakes her claws at him. Not seconds later, another wolf is upon her back.

My wolf tries her hardest to throw the wolves off and to bite her way free, but after a minute or so, she has scratches all across her body. The cuts from the fight earlier are reopening, making every movement painful.

With a loud howl, my wolf snaps at one female in front of her face. Catching the female's leg between he teeth, she chomps down and feels the bone break between her jaws. Just as soon as she drops that wolf's leg, another fills her place. With a growl, a wolf leaps upon her back. Several other wolves latch onto my fur with their claws and teeth. My wolf tosses one wolf off, shaking her fur as much as she can to dislodge the rest.

Their claws gouge into my wolf's sides, their teeth scrape her back. She bellows in pain, throwing most of them off. My wolf thrashes and bucks, trying to keep the wolves away from her.

She catches one trying to leap at her head and she trows him into the river behind her. A splash, and immediately that wolf is replaced by another. They just seem to keep coming, like there isn't an end to the amount of wolves who want to teach her a lesson.

Our sides are burning from the amount of scratches and bites marring them. We cannot keep this up. Making a split decision, my wolf lifts her muzzle to the sky and lets out a long, pained howl. It fades out with a scratching sound. The wolves surrounding us only seem to be more irritated by the noise. My wolf hopes Rylan got to her father, and that her howl will bring them to her aid.

The other wolves pounce again, tearing at my skin. I let out a yelp of pain before my legs are pulled out from under me. Keeping my chin to my chest, my wolf keeps them away from her throat. Clawing and biting them away, she tries her hardest to get them off.

Suddenly, howls fill the air behind the group attacking my wolf. The attackers tense and snarl, then charge at the new enemies. My wolf fights to keep her eyes open. And the last thing she sees, is wolves from every pack fighting the younglings.

Sorry if this was long and cliche. But I had to incorporate this scene. Let me know if you think I can do something better.
