Background story: *quick summary*
Elise Acworth is the daughter of the SHIELD director, Nicholas Joseph Fury—commonly known as Nick Fury or Director Fury—and the former leader of the Dora Milaje in Wakanda, Onyeka Ackah—also known as Oni Acworth.
Elise is very intelligent and mostly found interest in science—where she'd create her own experiments. Her biggest idol is Dr. Bruce Banner and had a goal to recreate his failed experiment with gamma radiation. Assuming that she understood where his mistake occurred and wanted to fix it; but when her attempt also failed, she was left on the verge of death. Also, killing her mother, Onyeka, in the process. Her father, Nick Fury, found Elise in her science lab underneath their home after she was exposed to the gamma radiation. Although, she barely survived, Fury brought her to SHIELD Headquarters—with the help of a certain engineer—and had his team help her. She was only sixteen years old at the time of the explosive accident; but she absorbed special powers like Forcefield, the ability to shoot fire from her hands, and if she's mad enough her entire body can erupt in flames. Fury put her unique gifts to work when she turned eighteen as he recruited her into SHIELD and she's been his top agent along with Maria Hill, Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton.
