An Ill-Advised Fantasy
My darling waits for me by the sea.
With fleet-footed swiftness I come to thee.
No matter the trials that riddle my path,
Mine hand you shall take, together at last.
For though the wind doth blow, and the rain hides shine,
I am forever yours, and you, forever mine.
And though thy tears may drench the sand,
Remember to catch mine outstretched hand.
And while the ocean drowns thy soul
I bring thee mine heart to make thee whole.
