Newt looked around the busy streets of New York. He only just arrived but he already loved it. The tall buildings, the many people.. muggles mostly.

He held his case tightly in his hand. It was important that he didn't lose it. He looked around for another moment.

You cought his eye. Right and that moment you were wondering the streets at well. You were a witch and used to go to Hogwarts before you got a job and at MACUSA.

You were carrying a suitcase. It wasn't for the same purpose as Newt. You just had work stuff in there. You were struggling to get it to even close.

You just wanted to go home. This was so annoying. You tried to get the clip the close but it wouldn't. Everytime it popped open.

Newt walked over to you. Something about you seemed familiar. You were around his age and he felt like he had seen you before.. he couldn't put his finger on it.

'Do you need any help?'

'Yeah.. thank you.'

He didn't get a good look at your face but he heard your British accent. He helped you close the suitcase. He had quite some experience with that. You struggled to get a better hold of your case while he was holding it too.

You felt your wand slip from your jacket. You let the suit go and quickly picked it up.

'I am so sorry about all of this.' You said whime quickly putting your wand away.

You looked at Newt. He now saw your face clearly. He recognised you right away. Y/N Y/L.. old friend of Leta. You were a Slytherin, a very kind person though. He hadn't seen you in ages.

'Y/N?' He asked.

You were quite startled when he said your name. You looked at him. You saw something familiar in his eyes but you couldn't place it.

'I-I'm sorry.. you just look like an old friend of mine. I didn't mean to startle you.'

'No my name is Y/N.' You said. 'Y/N Y/L.'

'I'm Newt. Newt Scamander.'

You looked at him and smiled right away. That was what seemed familiar. He looked great.. very handsome. You weren't going to deny that.

'Wow hey! It's been ages.' You smiled.

Newt put down the two suitcase and you shared a small hug. You both picked your own suitcase back up.

'What are you doing here?' Newt asked.

'I work at MACUSA.' You smiled. 'How about you?'

'I just came here to visit.' He said.

'Newt Scamander just came here to visit? I hardly believe that.' You grinned.

'I swear!' He grinned.

You and Newt had always been great friends but lost contact after Hogwarts. Even though you used to be a Slytherin you always loved to watch Newt take care of his creatures.

'I was just heading out by the way, wanna grab a drink?' You asked.

'Of course.' Newt smiled.

You two headed towards a place you really liked. They had the best of the best drinks and it was for wizards and witches.

'So how did you end up at MACUSA?' Newt asked.

'After Hogwarts I wanted something different. I felt like it was a little boring in England. I travelled for a few months and decided to stick around here.' You smiled.

'I mean you've always been a great witch. It's not a surprise that you wanted to seek more adventure.'

'It isn't necessarily about the adventure.. I mean if that was the case I would live a life like you.'

'Like me? All I do is take care of my creatures.'

'You go on adventure to get to them. You've always done that.'

'They need protection.. I don't have a choice.'

'You have a good heart, Newt.'

Newt looked at you and smiled. He missed you. Youteo continued talking about the wizarding world and everything you had been up to.

After awhile you had to leave though. While Newt went inside to pay, which he insisted on, you wrote something down on a piece parchment. He walked outside.

'Thank you for paying. Unfortunately I dont think I can see you more often here in America. I need to go.'

'Where?' He asked. 'I'd love to see you again.'

You hander him the piece of parchment.

'Bye Newt. It was nice to see you.' you smiled.

Newt watched you leave. He opened the piece of parchment. On there there were directions on where to find you. Newt smiled. Of course.. that was typically something you would do..
