Chapter 6

I was in the library after class writing up my 500 word essay on myself that was due in on Friday and I was almost done but I only had like 100 words left. I took a sip of my coffee trying to think of what else I could write but it wasn’t coming to me. I put my coffee down putting groaning about this one essay it was a simple one.

“Hey beautiful” I knew that voice and I wasn’t in the mood for him, I looked up giving him an annoyed look

“Go away Ashton not in the mood”

“I’ll go away once you agree to go on a date with me”

“You don’t take no as an answer do you”? I said leaning against my chair

“No I don’t, it’s either yes or yes” I started packing my things up and picked my bag up and grabbed my coffee walking away from Ashton. I walked out of the library trying to get far away from Ashton “Come on Shannon one date” I heard him say running towards me

“What part of no don’t you understand, seriously Ash just leave me alone”

“Why won’t you go out with me”? Ashton asked walking beside me; I stopped, staring at him and said

“You wanna know why because you’re exactly like all the frat boys in your house who only come to college for sex and that’s it you may take classes but we know the truth you guys are idiots and brainless” I took a step towards Ashton inches from his face and he was speechless “That’s what I thought”

“That’s so not true I have you know I’m the best in my class”

“Fine Irwin about this if you get at least an A on your next essay or whatever it is you do then I will go on a date with you”

"Fine" Ashton said trying to hold back a smile

"Fine" I said back, Ashton and I were just staring at each other staring into each other’s eyes.

“I think this is the part where we kiss” I felt Ashton’s arms wrap around me but I laughed removing his arms and said

“No this is the part where I walk off” I walked past Ashton making my way to somewhere quieter where I wouldn’t be bothered.

I finally finished my essay and I just needed to sleep, I walked up to my dorm opening the door finding Jenna lying on the bed with a book in her hand. She noticed me walking in and sat up

“Just the girl I wanted I wanted to talk too”

“Oh what happened this time”?

“This isn’t about me, this is about you and Ashton” I laid back on my bed groaning about the thought of Ashton.

“I only met him yesterday and I’m already sick of hearing his name”

“Well apparently Ashton is crazy about you, yep you heard me one of my friends Amber over heard his conversation with Michael plus you two were close to kissing” I sat up looking at Jenna

“We were not going to kiss; he would be the last person I would kiss”

“So tell me what happened”?

“He wouldn’t take no as an answer so I told him if he pass whatever the hell he does then I will go on a date with him”

“Shannon, are you stupid”? I was offended by that comment and said

“No I am not why would you say that”? I asked confused

“Ashton is an art major, his best in the class and he always passes whatever the teacher gives him”

“Why didn’t you tell me before I told him that”! I basically yelled at Jenna standing up

“I did tell you but you forgot”

“Great, just great” I said lying back on my bed

“So when do you want to go shopping for your date, to get a cute outfit”? I looked at Jenna and said

“Shut up”
