Chapter 32

Last night was fun and after the party even though Ashton and I were dressed up had late night maccas which was better than the party food which was way too fancy and since we were the young ones there we kept making fun of people. But now the real job began writing a novel and I had no idea what to write about and on top of that I had college and luckily Mr. Parker understood what’s happening so now I just get coffee and lunch for everyone. Luckily Ashton’s been busy with getting his things together for the art show that’s coming up next week. I was sitting in my bedroom thinking of what to write for this novel it had to be amazing.

Jenna walked in with Calum and they soon noticed me

“Hey come up with anything yet”? Jenna asked

“No and it’s annoying me because I just did most of all my writing assessments done just to get this novel done”

“Well why don’t you write something that every likes, which is romance”

“You should put some action into it if you do then I will read it I’m telling you now” Jenna and Calum kept giving me ideas but I soon got an idea of what to write.

“Oh my gosh I know what to write and it’s going to be amazing” I stood up grabbing my laptop and charger running plus bag making my way to the library.

I walked out of the building soon running into someone almost falling down but no surprise looking up seeing my boyfriend catching me.

“You’re so clumsy, you know that” he said laughing

“I’ve been told before” I got up on my feet smiling at Ashton “So how’s the art show coming along”?

“It’s going great but were done for today so maybe you and me could hang out”

“Ashton I would love too but I can’t I need to get started on this novel because I just got this amazing idea and I really need to go before I lose it, I’m sorry”

“No it’s fine I understand” I kissed him on the lips quickly and said

“I’ll see you later, okay”

“Yep” I ran off running to the library getting ready to get this novel started.

It had been a week since I started my novel and I was already up to chapter 15 this novel was going to be amazing I could feel it. I’ve been in the library non-stop writing my novel having so much coffee plus getting work. I was finishing off chapter 15 and I soon noticed the time 7:15 crap. Tonight was Ashton’s art show and I was late, I got up quickly running to my room to get dressed. I’m supposed to be there supporting Ashton I felt terrible.

I ran up the steps of the hall where the art show was held and I was out of breath when I reached the top, I walked in looking for Ashton everywhere but I couldn’t find him and on the side note I was still trying to catch my breath. I noticed Ashton walking around and I quickly walked over to him, he looked up at me looking happy that I was here.

“I’m so sorry I’m late, I swear it won’t happen again”

“It’s fine I understand just as long as you’re here that’s all that matters” Ashton gave me a quick kiss calming me down a bit.

“I’m so glad you understand but tonight is your night and I’m here to support you” Ashton smiled putting his arm around me while we walked around talking.

“Mr. Irwin” Ashton and I both turned around seeing Ashton’s teacher walking this way with a couple beside him

“Sir”

“I would like you to meet some people that can help you with your career; this here is Mr. and Mrs Martin they own a big art gallery up in Brisbane and also in Paris I’ll leave you guys to talk” sir walked off and Ashton said

“Hi I’m Ashton”

“It’s nice to finally meet you Ashton such a talented boy I bet your mum is proud of you” said Mrs Martin

“She is proud of me” Ashton said, I noticed Mrs Martin looking at me she spoke up and said

“And who is this beautiful woman”?

“This is my girlfriend Shannon, she’s a writer”

“Hi” I said

“You must be very proud of your boyfriend here” I looked up at Ashton and Mrs Martin was right I was very proud of my man. I nodded looking back at her smiling

“Yeah I am”

“Oh you guys are so cute, young love I just love it”

“I’m sorry about my wife she watches and reads to much romance things especially that new article that’s been going around Australia”

“Honey that lady was a brilliant writer and she helped our marriage” I knew they were talking about me but I just didn’t want to say anything since this was Ashton’s night and not mine but Ashton spoke up.

“That’s my girlfriend’s article” Ashton said with a proud smile, I looked up at him shaking my head

“You wrote that article”? I looked at the women nodding my head

“Oh my gosh your such an amazing writer I love your article so much whenever I feel like leaving my husband I read it”

“Thank you, I guess”

“Do you have any other articles coming out?”

“She might actually have a novel coming out soon” Ashton told her

“Oh what’s it about”?

“I guess you will have to find out”

“Honey we have to keep looking around you can talk to Mr. Irwin’s girlfriend later, it was nice meeting you again and Mr. Irwin I would like to speak to you later about something” Ashton nodded and they soon walked off

“Ashton you know you could’ve kept quiet about me writing that article” I said facing him

“Why though”?

“Ashton this is your night not mine”

“Shannon every time I tell someone it’s me showing you how proud I am of you don’t feel bad because it’s fine”

“Alright” I gave Ashton a kiss again making it last before we had to talk to more people. At that time it was fine for Ashton but as life moves on some people drift and apart causing drama and that’s exactly what happened next.
