Chapter 13

Friday night was here and the only band shirt I remembered packing was my green day shirt that my dad got me for Christmas. Jenna was on the bed reading a magazine.

“Alright how do I look”? I asked, she looked up at me and said

“So where exactly is he taking you”?

“I have no idea he told me to wear this kind of stuff”

“Well I think you look cute and I hope you have the best time on your date and realise you and Ashton are meant to be together”

“Maybe I’ll realise once you realise that you and Calum are meant to be together, you’re single now so you’ve got on reason to go on date with him”

“Oh I so do excuse me, Calum may be good looking and have the best body ever and may be a look like a little puppy that you can cuddle at night but that’s not the point he is a jerk and his a frat boy that wants to get into my pants”

“Yeah whatever” I said rolling my eyes, seconds later there was a knock on the door and Jenna put the magazine down and did that girly scream when her friends about to go out on a date. I grabbed my bag putting my phone and wallet inside and went over to the door opening it seeing Ashton wearing skinny jeans, a singlet with holes in it which was hot and he was wearing a bandana.

“Hey Irwin”

“Hey nice outfit”

“Thanks so um should we go”

“Someone’s keen” he said smirking

“I just want to know where you’re taking me because who knows you could take me to a shit restaurant”

“Well let’s go” before I shut the door Jenna yelled out

“You kids have fun”! I shut the door and we made our way down to Ashton’s car.

Ashton pulled up outside Allianz Stadium was he taking me to a game? Ashton looked at me smiling but I was still confused.

“Alright Irwin what’s going on”? Ashton handed me a envelop

“Open it” when I opened it I pulled out two tickets that had Green Day in big capital letters and I couldn’t stop smiling this was a dream ever since my dad got me into Green Day it’s been my goal to go to a concert.

“How did you get these”?

“Well that day we made that deal, I knew I was going to win so I had to think of something and on my way getting pizza I heard on the radio they were having a contest to win tickets to Green Day and next thing I knew I won”

“But what if I didn’t like Green Day”?

“Please tell me you like Green Day, everyone likes Green Day no matter what”?

“I do like green day” I said laughing

“Good because I can’t handle having a crush on a girl who doesn’t like my favourite band” Ashton said getting out of the car, I smiled at myself knowing Ashton has a crush on me. I got out of the car and we made our way to the stadium.

“So where did you think I was taking you”? Ashton asked

“I don’t know I just didn’t think you would take me to a concert on the first date but it’s better than the simple first date”

“Well I like to think outside the box”

“Good to know”

Ashton got good tickets, seats near the front but they were on the side but we had a fantastic view of the stage.20 minutes later the concert started and they opened up with the classic that basically everyone knew which was none other than the song American Idiot. I may or may not have fan girl seeing Billy because I did have a massive crush on him which mum questioned. The band played new songs and old songs that were classics; Ashton was screaming the lyrics to Jesus of suburbia because that was his favourite song.

Half way through the show Billy said that things were going to be slowed down and this song meant a lot to him and I knew exactly what it was. The cords to Wake me up when September ends played and the biggest smile appeared on my face. I saw lighters, phone lights up in the air and it was beautiful, I was singing along with the band and the crowd. I felt hands being intertwined with mine and I looked down at Ashton who was smiling at me and he was mouthing the words to me. This was a great first date and I’m glad I made that deal with Ashton.

Ashton taking Shannon to a green day concert, I wanted it to be a different first date not the simply first date that's in some fanfics and dates everyone sees coming I'm not sure if this idea has been used but I like it anyway this is only part 1 to this date next is part 2 :D
