"Okay... Crystal you.. you're a uh... a... witch."
Crystal's eyes widen as she froze in her spot. The girl can feel her heart beating out of her chest, He can't be serious. Fear struck through Crystal. He must be kidding, I can't possibly be a witch. They don't exist. she thought. Crystal can feel a lump in her throat as she clenched her trembling fists so hard that, blood started oozing from her palms. Crystal can feel all their stares on her. Avery glanced to her with concern in her eyes, while Jack looked bored out of his mind, but if you looked deep into his eyes he was guilty.
The blood beat in her ears. Her heart crashed in her chest. her hands shook. Her feet shivered. Her vision deformed, as though she were glancing through a fish-eye focal point. Crystal needed to escape.
And with that, Crystal ran out of the school cafeteria to the bathroom. Avery immediately following behind her.
Crystal opened the door to the restroom and threw her bag to the floor, She put her hands on the sink, clenching it tightly. Crystal looked at herself in the mirror as tears ran down her cheeks. The door then opened and closed, Crystal didn't even bother looking to see how it was.
Avery saw her best friend's state and dashed to her. Avery pulled her away from the sink and held her shoulders as she looked into her eyes, Crystal's eyes filled with concern and fear.
Crystal pulled herself out of her grasp and fell to the floor, trying to catch her breath.
This is not true. This a dream. This can't be real, Crystal thought over and over in her head.
"Hey Crystal, breath okay? Breath," said Avery, but Crystal barely paid attention to her.
"I can't-, I can't-, bre-ath-e," Crystal told her best friend through empty breaths as she kept on trying to catch her breath.
"Hey, no Crystal. Look at me okay? Focus on my voice. Try and copy me okay?" Avery said hurriedly as the brunette breathed heavily trying to help Crystal.
Crystal tried doing just like Avery but she couldn't.
She just couldn't."Breathe Crystal."
Crystal did just that. She tried and she tried until she was finally able to breathe.
"Thank you so much," Crystal gasped out, finally getting a hold of her breath.
"Hey you don't need to thank me, you're my best friend now," Avery said smiling softly at her best friend.
Crystal smiled back. Crystal couldn't be more grateful for Avery, but with everything going on all Crystal wanted was space. She just wanted to be alone.
