The next morning, Crystal called Avery over and seeing as it was Friday, and as Crystal has mentioned before, Avery is a loner. Avery was able to come.

Crystal told her all that happened yesterday between her and Jack, and how Crystal lost control.

Avery squealed. She was so happy because she had shipped Crystal and Jack together since the second they met.

"Oh my god, you guys hugged?? Jastal all the way bro!!"

"Jastal?" Crystal questioned not having any clue what Avery meant.

"Yeah, it's your ship name," Avery shrugged excitedly.

"What about you and Liam?" Crystal asked with a smirk on her face.

Avery blushed looked down to the floor and hid her face behind her hair. This caused Crystal's smirk to widen.

"Well, after I left you in the bathroom yesterday, I met Liam in the hallway, we walked to class together and right before leaving me he.. uh..." Avery said with a smile on her face as she remembered her moment with Liam.

"HeKissedMyCheek," Avery said really fast.

"What? Say it slower," Crystal said with a smile on her face as she was finding this amusing.

"He kissed my cheek," Avery said blushing.

"Oh my god, he kissed your cheek, Livery all the way bro!!!" Crystal mocked her with a smirk.

Avery turned an even darker shade of red if that was even possible.

Crystal burst out laughing at her friend, but her happiness was cut short when a rock came flying from her window.

Both girls screamed. Crystal, however, got up from her place on the bed and picked up the rock.

"Oh my god, what is that?" asked Avery.

"It's a rock," Crystal replied. Crystal was really confused. She didn't understand what was happening. Is this some sick joke? Crystal thought.

"Look! There is a note tied to it," Avery pointed out as she tried to contain her confusion and fright.

Crystal picked up the note and opened it.

I'm coming for you, Lee

Terrified, Crystal dropped the note and brought a hand up to her mouth as her face grew paler.

"What does it say?" asked Avery, worried by her friend's reaction.

"Call Liam," Crystal told her sternly.

Avery couldn't handle it anymore, she picked up the note, read it, then called Liam right away.

A while later, Liam came through the window, with Jack right behind him.

"Seriously, you brought him," Crystal told Liam, pointing to Jack.

Yes, Crystal had a moment with Jack yesterday, but he still hated her, or at least she thought he did.

"What, miss me?" Jack asked cockily. He loved annoying Crystal. Jack just found it amusing how she would always huff or sigh at him.

Crystal just ignored him and gave Liam the note to see.

"Well this is not creepy," said Liam sarcastically.

Jack took the note from Liam and sniffed it.

"The scent is familiar," Jack said looking at Liam.

"So that means, you know who did this?" asked Avery.

"Let's split up, Jack and Crystal take the note and follow the scent, While Avery and I will go and ask Brandon if he knows anything about this," ordered Liam.

"Wait, who's Brandon?" Crystal asked Liam.

"He's our alpha," answered Jack.

"Alpha?" asked Avery.

Both girls were confused.  After all, they were still new to the whole supernatural world.

"Yeah, kind of like the leader of our pack, he taught us how to control ourselves, and everything we know about being a werewolf," Jack explained.

"So, when we're done, we meet at school, at 9?" Crystal asked.

They all nodded, and just like that they separated and went their ways.

Jack and Crystal got in his Porsche, following the scent of the note.

"So did you pick anything up yet?" Crystal asked Jack, wanting to be of any use.

"I'm just following the scent." Jack shrugged.

"Ok then," Crystal replied awkwardly.

As they sat silent, Crystal couldn't help but glance to Jack. Eventually, glances turned into stares. The girl was admiring the way his blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight, the way his jaw would clench when angry. Crystal stopped herself from brushing his curls away from his eyes.

"Take a picture it lasts longer." Jack snapped her out of her daze, with a smirk gracing his features.

Crystal blushed, and cleared her throat, looking everywhere but at him. Jack couldn't help but find that amusing.

"I wasn't staring." Crystal tried to defend herself.

The car then fell silent, until Jack finally spoke up, "You know yesterday, you broke both my legs."

"You hit my head with a ball," Crystal reminded him.

"Your head healed."

"Well, so did your legs," Crystal fired back.

Crystal could've sworn she saw him smile, but just like that his cold stone face was back on.

"Why we are heading to school?" Crystal asked as she finally became aware of her surroundings.

"I have no idea," Jack replied equally as confused.

Parking in the school's parking lot, they spotted Avery and Liam. Both, Crystal and Jack, got out of the car and made their way to them.

"Where did the scent lead you?" asked Liam.

"Here, actually," Crystal answered she glanced around her.

Jack snapped his head to the group as he heard the sound of footsteps.

"Do you hear that?" questioned Jack.

All four of them looked behind them to see a middle-aged man standing there, with his claws and fangs out, growling at them.

"Brandon?"
