Six Days Before Protocol Afton

"Describe to me the approach the attacker took that was used on the victim."

"Well. He walked in and immediately pulled out a gun on the guy behind the counter and threatened him."

All while the flashing lights on the cop car had me distracted that was parked near the front entrance of the gas station, I could see the officer writing down the information. "Was the glock that was next to the attacker his?" asked the officer staring at his notepad. "Yes," I responded. "Alright. Describe to me what happened next," he said. "The guy behind the counter was forced to get the money out of the cash register, but it got stuck in the process and... ended up getting shot," I responded. "I see. Continue," responded the officer still writing in his notepad. "I decided it was best to stop the guy, so I jumped at him and that caused us to both fall down. After that moment I got a hold of his gun to protect myself with in case he tried to attack me," I continued. "He asked for me to kill him." The officer stopped to look at me, having his attention now. "That was all he did. Beg. He wanted to leave this world. But I wasn't going to give him an easy way out," I continued. "I decided to knock him out, just to make sure he wouldn't escape." "Maybe you should have killed him. After all, that's all you robots are good for doing," said the officer continuing to write on his notebook. I stared at him blankly, almost drawn in by his harsh use of words, while the other officer that had accompanied with him here walked over to us from the gas station. "The guys dead. Cold as ice. But an ambulance should arrive shortly," said the officer as he approached us. "Are you trying to say something about me?" I asked the other officer I was previously talking to. Both of them turned to look at me, as they both kept their stare at me. "I'm well aware of your existence, due to an associate in our force. Especially the crimes committed by your company under your name," said the officer I was talking to. "Don't think this state has forgotten about Freddy Fazbear's." "Look. I'm may have been online for a short amount of time, but what happened with Freddy Fazbear's was most likely a mistake. Whatever that might be," I responded. "Huh! Even a prodigy of its creation doesn't realize the terrors created by your company," responded the police officer as he walked up to me and got into my face. "The only good thing your robots are good for is replacing others." Suddenly, our attention was drawn away to the sound of the an ambulance, as I could see it come into view down the street followed by a fire truck. They both turned into the entrance to get into the gas station, stopped near the curb as firefighters and EMT's all got out and walked into the gas station. "Leave. And while you're at it, crawl back to your company to earned to title of causing another death," said the officer as him and the other officer walked away. All while I could stand with the guilt; passed on by these officers. "Why do they act so mean towards me?" I asked myself. "Why do they see robots as murderers?"

Even with it being close to morning, the neighborhood still sound quiet. Everyone was still asleep and would not wake up until it was light. I was almost close to the house, as I checked every house I passed for the right address. "1905. No, not it. 1919. Nope," I said while walking down the sidewalk. "1931. 1956. 1978..." I stopped suddenly at a house, as looked back down on my paper written with the address on it. "1987... This is it," I said to myself looking back at the house. Just by looking at it, the model of of showed a lot of money had been put into it: The color of it was of a light grayish with some white outlines on parts of it, though just by looking at it from the outside it seemed to be only a one story. I walked towards the front of the house and to the door, as stopped to looked down. In front of my feet was the mat mentioned my Star Cluster, as I bent down to remove the mat. And resting underneath it was the key. I grabbed the key while I observed it, seeing that it was pretty shiny, probably because it was new. After all, my home was new and mine. I walked up to the door while putting the key into the two locks for the door, as both they both turned. Once I was done I took the key out of the other hole and grabbed the door knob and pushed it. The door slowly opened as I walked inside while looking around: The living room was already in view, sitting alone and looking to be new as well. I looked around for the light switch so I could actually see, as I noticed a switch next to the wall down a hallway to the left of me. I walked over to it and flipped it on, turning on the lights for the room and the hallway nearby. And with amount of light provided, I could now clearly see the home I would be settled into. I walked back over to the front door, just to close it, as I then walked back to the living room. Sitting in the living room was a couch, two chairs, a TV, and a table placed in between the TV and couch; the things anyone would need in this room. I walked over to the couch while noticing the remote for it was placed on the table, giving me the urge to walk over to and pick it up. I held it for a moment before looking for the power button, which was placed in the top left. And as I pointed it at the TV and pressed the button I was shown was would be going on in the world. Things that I could not forget.

"...but while police have the suspect in custody and has been dealt with, it seems another unfamiliar hero stepped in this time to end the suspects reign of terror."

It took me a moment to realize I was on the news station, and that they knew who I was now. Immediately, the scene changed to the gas station I was at before, while the news reporter stood away from the front of it.

"Yes indeed. Two officers have informed us that a robot apparently was present at the crime scene as well, though who it is remains to be announced. But from what we've been told, apparently this robot was able to take down the suspect, though he was not able to save Aditya, the victim who worked here before losing his life during a failed attempt of a robbery. Though now the question we must ask ourselves; Could the robot have saved Aditya's life? Or did it intentionally cause his death?"

Immediately, I turned off the TV as I got up from the couch and walked on over to the hallway. "I think I should just rest," I said to myself. Even though the sun was starting to raise now. For me, it was setting this time. Down the hallway I noticed an opened door as I walked in, discovering what is was used for. It was clear this room was a bedroom, considering it had a bed, a desk, and a closet. I walked in while looking at the bed, while pressing my hand on the sheets to feel it. It definitely felt nice and it looked it hadn't been touched, which was good enough for me. I walked to the side of the bed as I moved some of the sheets aside, allowing me room to get on the bed and get in the space I made. Once I was fully on, I dragged the bed sheets from across the other side of the bed and covered my whole body, just so I could sleep peacefully. After all, this was my first time sleeping on an actual bed. But even with it feeling comfortable I felt like I didn't need to sleep. Something was preventing me from sleeping, something stuck in my head with me and along everyone else in this world. Death. That's what you know exists with us in this world, it is apart of us. But when you see it as a whole for what it is, you start to wonder why you can't prevent it all the time. Why it makes us feel bad and guilty.

I didn't want to sleep knowing that could happen to me.

I didn't want to be in Aditya's place.

I didn't want to wake up to be taken away from this world.

I didn't wish to be remembered death makes up apart of a society.

"Fuck. Why do some humans bring death among one another, just to see others suffer over that loss?" I asked myself softly while staring at the ceiling. "Why do they think robots are a way to cause death?"
