Six Days Before Protocol Afton
"What's the time?" I asked looking around. "Uh. About one fifty-eight, man," responded Freddy while pulling out a smart phone from his pocket. "Hold up. How long have you had it?" I asked. "A year maybe. I can't remember exactly, man," responded back Freddy. "What's the point of owning one though, if you none you have a valid reason to use social media or chat with the people you see everyday?" I asked. "I don't know man. RXQ kept urging me that we might need one in the future, and I decided to take his word for it," responded Freddy while he still had his phone in his hand. "To be honest I could use one. Not to use it to an extent to where I drain the battery for good or for entertainment, but to know the time and other purposes. Though I would prefer a watch," I said sharing my thoughts. "You could make your own watch, though that would require some time to master your powers, considering we still need to start your training, man," he said. "But I'll let you borrow my phone for the sake of it," said Freddy holding out his phone for me to take. "You don't have to, you know that? Besides, wouldn't you want to keep it to know what time it is?" I asked. "Nah! I barely use it anyways; all this technology doesn't suite me either. It ain't my thing," he responded. "Well, thanks. I appreciate it," I responded taking the phone and putting it in my pocket. "Doing what I can for a friend man," responded Freddy as he pulled out a cigarette and he dug his hand into his left pocket. "Now where the hell is my lighter?" Funtime Foxy, who was sitting two seats down from me, gave me a look while I gave one back before turning to look at Freddy. He pulled out his lighter, though he stopped suddenly; putting his hand back in the same pocket as he pulled out a bag of cards in it. "Well god damn, I can't believe I forgot I had my Uno cards on me." "You play Uno?" I asked. "Yeah, man. You gotta keep yourself entertained here at all times besides watching TV all day. Besides, me and RXQ have the most fun while playing this game whenever me and him are together," he said. "You know what, it couldn't hurt to play. So what do you say?" "I'm down to," I responded as I turned to look at Funtime Foxy. "What about you?" She nodded her head slowly, excluding the brief moment we didn't receive an answer from her we usually encountered. "Well then, hope nobody here's the type to rage or get angry," said Freddy shuffling the deck of cards he had. "I don't get angry, from what I know. Though frustration is the type of thing I'm might experience during something that happens," I responded. "Good thing then, man. You see someone getting up tight over a game and going lunatic and you wonder what kinda state they're in. They act like a monster or a psychopath; that's something I don't want to become ever," he said. "I would do anything to prevent that from happening. You don't control your actions, they control you," I responded. "The only person here who goes mental over something that happens that affects them is Funtime Freddy; no big surprise there. You'd think the way he acts would make him seem like a monster already. But I tell you; when he gets mad, that's when the monster breaks out for a moment," he responded as he started throwing in front of me and Funtime Foxy. "Now. Do the both of you know how to play?" Me and Funtime Foxy both looked at each other for a moment, before we both turned around to share our answers. "No," I responded while Funtime Foxy shook her head. "Thought so. Anyways the goal and rules are simple: The objective is to have no cards left by matching a card in a different pile with either four different colors; which being: Blue, red, green, and yellow. Or you can get rid of your cards by numbers that match with another card in the pile. However, there are other options to guarantee a step further than your opponents: Reverse Cards; a way to change to order of people going to prevent anyone from wining, Draw Cards; a tactic to add on the amount of cards one would have during that time, and there's the Wild Card; allowing you to change the color that is present, though there is also another card that has the same function but forces the player who is next to grab four extra cards," explained Freddy. "If a player doesn't have a card or number to put in the pile, they have to draw a card until they get a number, color, or Wild Card that allows to place a card. So? Does it make sense?" "Sure. Just hope this game isn't going to be too frustrating," I answered back. "You'll be fine. All you will being feeling is joy and probably frustration from how long a game can be," he responded. "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "These games can drag on for a long time, man. And I mean, it can go on forever at times," responded Freddy. "I guess the only thing we'll get out of it is that we have something to do and spend our time on," I responded. "Now. Shall we begin?" said Freddy before smoking his cigarette, only to take ir out of his mouth and start coughing. "Ah shit!" "You good?" I asked unsure of the extreme amount of coughing from. "Yeah! Uh! Took in too much, that's all," he responded. "Ok. I'm fine. Uh! I'll pull out the first card." He took the top card off of the deck and placed it in the middle of the table, showing it to be a red one, before looking back at me. "You first." I looked down upon the cards I had in my hands, all but deciding which one to place down: A green seven, a yellow Reverse Card, a green one, a red Draw Two Card, a normal Wild Card, a yellow three, and a green six; all that were my only options. I firmly took the red Draw Two Card and rested it on top of the card that Freddy had placed. "Damn! Got me already?" said Freddy taking two cards from the top of the deck. "It appears so," I responded with a small smile that showed the glee with it. "Your turn Funtime Foxy," said Freddy as we both turned to look at her. She turned to look at the both of us, seeming to be uneasy because of the attention we were giving her. She finally turned to look back at her hand of cards, deciding which one would benefit her in the end. "Take your time. We have all day," said Freddy. "Literally," I responded remember how it was almost two the last time I had checked for what time it was. It seemed this day was going by real slow, but maybe it was a good thing and would allow me to enjoy the experiences from today. Even the bad ones. Finally, she placed her card along with the pile, which appeared to be a red card and a two. "Alright. Maybe changing up the color can ease the concern in some," I said placing down the Wild Card I had. "I'll choose yellow." "Now ain't I the unlucky one?" said Freddy reaching to grab a card on the top of the deck. He pulled one out, only to grab another and put it along with his hand, and still he continued to grabbed cards until he finally placed a yellow card that was a five. "Jesus. You have a whole bunch now," I said noticing the amount of cards he had increased. "It's the price you pay when you don't have a card to place down," he responded. "So it seems," I responded while Funtime Foxy placed a red card that was a five in the pile. "I never expected you to be the type to play cards games so often," I said. "What? Is that a bad thing, man?" asked Freddy. "No, not at all. It's just something you don't see our current generation doing, from what I can tell," I responded. "Well the old still play the games they grew up with, while the young find something new that involves technology to play around with," he responded. "Unfortunately. All I see Bonnie doing most of the time is playing on his Switch or he's on his laptop. They get sucked in entirely that they become one and apart of their life," I said while playing down a card in the pile. "Fair point. Back in the day when I got stoned to hell everyday, these games were our primary source of entertainment for each day, and I tell you I'll always be entertained by the amount of fun I have each time," he said placing down a card. "I gotta ask you something, since it just entered my mind right now," I said. "Go ahead, man," he responded. "I know it's gonna sound weird but, can we die or even age?" I asked sharing my thought. Freddy looked up and turned to look at Funtime Foxy, who did the same before placing down her card. "Well, yes. It goes back to that old saying man, like; 'Nothing lasts forever,' and that involves us as well," he responded answering my question. "Our life span is half the age of what a normal person could live to; around forty to fifty years maybe at the very least. Maybe more if you're lucky. Might be the same with me with all the dope I've smoked in the past twenty-seven years." "As long as you've lived enough to see the wonder you've wanted to see, then perhaps the time to go will be foreseen earlier than expected," I said while drawing some cards to find one to match with the one Funtime Foxy had placed. "That's the problem man; I haven't seen the full extent of this world and my life yet. There's so much more to come soon and I might not be there to see it," he said as I placed a card down now. "We're like toys man. We age until we serve no purpose; waiting each day until we get thrown away for good. It's like we get bored of ourselves and shut down because there's nothing else to do." "Does Fredbear have more plans for this place?" I asked. "He has plans for this world, man. It's going to expand into a society, or that's at least the plan. And I want to see it's construction and the beauty of it," he answered. "I'm sure you'll be able to see it and live through it," I said. "I know I want to be there to live among this new society for as long as I can."
