Haunts and taints my skull, chill snarly fingers.
Grabs my throat till I gasp and
I'm close to death.
Make me wake up, from this haunting slumber,
give me this life... don't let fear ever take my breath.
Saviours came with heavy wings, unfolding.
Tore me from the clutches of the dark,
flew with me to treetops soaked in moonlight.
Stole the Demons and gently lit my heart.
Harshness and a beast that gets inside you.
Drags you underground where there's no escape
Until an Angel helps you see the
daylight.
Whispers, staying with you, gentle, faint.
