Nineteenth

Thea's POV

It has been two weeks since Lydia passed and I'm back at Masons house

The quads have not been their usual selfs since her passing and neither have I,

The quads have just stayed in their rooms and only come out when Breakfast, Lunch and dinner is ready and that's about it

Mason has been away working at his office while I finish my job from home since I don't really need to go unless I have to go to an important meeting

It's 1pm right now and I'm currently on the couch with my earbuds plugged in listening to piano as I try to fall asleep

I put the volume higher and get into a comfortable spot and I close my eyes feeling drowsy already

I soon fall asleep

Not even 5 minutes later

"THEA" I hear making me confused but it's soon replaced with the piano

"Thea common wake up" I hear through it

"You can't leave me yet" I hear making me finally open my eyes and sit up to see Mason on his knees almost as if he's in pained

I take off the earbuds and pat his head "Hey Drama queen are you okay?" I ask making him snap his head up at me and I could see his red eyes

"God Thea you scared me" he sighs in relief making me even more confused

"Sierra said that she saw you drink some pills" he says and I look to my side to see all my pills splattered out of the container

"I guess I knocked them over" I mutter to myself as I go over to pick them up but I get stopped by Mason

"I'll do it" he insists making me confuse "from now on I'm going to give you your pill before I go to work and after I get out of work" he states getting all the pills back in

"I only take my sleeping pills at times" I comment and he sighs before turning to me

"You scared me you know" he says seriously making me feel bad

"I'm sorry" I say just above a whisper and I see his eyes soften

"But you just woke me up from a nap so fu-"

"Mom can we go to the park today?" I hear and turn around to find the quads with puffy eyes which makes my eyes water a bit

"Sure thing kiddos" my voice cracks a bit and they run back upstairs shouting for Sierra

"I'm guessing Lydia did a big impact on them" Mason points out making me take a deep breath and clearing my throat

"Hey let's go get ready for the park" I say and he thinks about it for a split second before nodding and helping me up

2 and a half hours later

We finally arrive at the park which is empty and I'm relieved that it is since that means I won't have to deal with peoples bullsh-

"Hey mom can you come help us get the stuff out" Esteban ask and I nod going over to the trunk and getting all the equipment

Yes equipment

Esteban brought his camera and tripod

Theodore and I brought are painting supplies which explains why are both wearing black aprons on that have a few splotches of paint

while Sebastian and Carter brought over cones and a soccer ball

"Here let me" Mason insist getting the stuff from my hand
