Cain's POV.

It's been a week since that want to be fight. If that's what you want to call it. Liam hasn't been to school. Matt says he's been busy getting that pack situated. Getting the ones that wanted to move moved wherever they were going to stay at. Pack house, their own house wherever. He works pretty fast. We've had two knew neighbors in the last two days. When I got home that night Liam's mom was making fun of me because I high tailed it out of there when Charlie said I was alpha to another pack. Hell yeah I did. I trust my pack. My pack is my family. No way did I want strangers coming in a disrupting our lives. Not only that I can't afford all those people. The money I got from my parents life insurance policy that the alpha gave me is only going to last so long. Well now I got my brothers and sisters part now but still that's their money and it will still only last so long. Why the hell do you think almost everyone has a part time job. Yeah I make sure we go to school first and I pay the bills, stuff we need but their extra stuff they have to pay for. So they work just a day or two a week and that's fine with me but school will come first. I'll say again why would I want another pack disrupting what I already have? I don't want a bigger pack I'm fine with my tiny one. We're family here.

I don't know why I'm doing this but I decided to go see Liam. I just wanted to see how he's holding up with the mess I left him. Hehe. Dick move I know. I knock on the door and Matt opens the door.

"Hey bro whatcha doing here?" he ask me.

"Came to see your brother." I tell him honestly. He cocks an eyebrow then shrugs. He opens the door for me to come in.

"Don't be surprised if he bites your head." he tells me.

"Why?"

"He's moody and dumbass isn't helping." he tell me.

"Boy I told you to watch your mouth." his mom scolds him coming to the door. Matt just shrugs. "Cain its good to see you again." she says pulling me into a hug. I met the lady once and she treats me like I'm family.

"You too. Mrs. Wilcox." I say hugging her back.

"None of that call me Linda." she says pulling away.

"Alright Linda." I say.

"He's in the office but don't be surprised.."

"If he bites me head off." I finish for her. She nods laughing.

"Yep he's crabby." she says shaking her head.

"I'll keep that in mind."

"I TOLD YOU TO LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!" I hear him roar.

"Get your head out of your ass Liam he doesn't love you never did. I'm your mate now. I'm here for you baby!" that pansy yells back.

"LEAVE OR I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL THROW YOU OUT THE FUCKING WINDOW!" Liam roars again. I laughed at that. We hear a huff then a slam.

"And you wonder where I get my mouth from." Matt snickers with sarcasm. "Well enjoy Cain if you don't come back down where do you want your funeral held at?" he ask me.

"I think I can hold my own." I chuckle heading up the stairs. I get to the door and knock.

"I TOLD YOU TO GO AWAY DUMBASS!" he roars again. I open the door.

"Is that anyway to talk to me?" I ask.

"Oh it's you. I thought it was that pain in the ass." he grunts. "Nag nag nag. I swear that's all he does. He's fucking worse than a damn women." he babbles. I cock an eyebrow amused.

"Busy?" I ask wanting to change the subject of his bitch. He sighs heavily.

"Not for you no." he says looking me dead in the eyes. I nod going in then stop.

"Fuck open a window it reaks in here." I tell him. God is it just me or does he small bad of that pansy.

"I smell that bad huh?" he ask getting up.

"Yeah."

"Sorry. I've tried everything. Scrubbing, poured cologne on me nothing seems to work." he tells me opening a window.

"How are you holding up?" I ask him walking the rest of the way in. I sit down as he sits back down.

"Fine no thanks to you." he grunts. "And dad." I just shrug.

"I like my little pack." I tell him honestly.

"I've noticed. So what brings you here?"

"Nothing really just wanted to see how your holding up. I did kinda throw it at you."

"I'm sorry you know." he tells me. "I fucked up. I know I did but you have t..."

"Let's not talk about that." I say cutting him off.

"No I have to tell you the truth Cain." he says sighing. "I never slept with Tori. That night she was all over me yes. You can ask Tommy and Cam."

"You claimed another Liam." he nods.

"I did but it was an accident. I was pissed off. I keep seeing you with Weston and I just bite down."

"You screwed him." he nods again.

"Yeah because I thought you used me. I thought you were screwing him. Cain I'm sorry. I really am. I wish I could go back and change it all." he says with a tear running down his cheek. I close my eyes. I didn't come here for this.

"To late now isn't it?" I ask opening them.

"No."

"You slept with someone else. You claimed someone else. How can it not be Liam?" he gets out of his chair coming around his desk. He gets on his knees taking my hand looking me dead in the eyes.

"Cain I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I love you only you." he says cupping my face with his hand. "Forgive me please. Please Cain. This can be reversed. Please Cain. I'm so sorry. I love you." he says pressing his lips to mine. Just a lingering kiss.

"I can't." I whisper pulling back. I get up and walk out.
