Chapter 4

Aaron: Okay, good night Y/N.

Y/N: Good night.

Aaron turned off your light and headed out the door, you just layed being a shell of a human, emotionally drained. Tears would seldomly roll down your already tear stained cheeks, you felt everything and nothing all at once. Your mind began to wonder..

Did she have something I don’t?

Does he find her more attractive?

Am I even attractive to him anymore?

He says he loves me but is he just saying that?

Your mind wondered for what seemed like forever and you couldn’t stop it until sleep came and took over your body. You were strangely awoken by someone climbing on top of you, it was too dark to see who it was but as soon as they leaned down and spoke in your ear, you immediately knew who it was..

Jake: Missed me baby girl?

You wanted to scream but every time you opened your mouth no sound would come out, you were paralyzed with fear. Since you couldn’t scream the next best thing was to start thrashing around and hopefully he would get off of you

Jake: I'm here to finish what I started..

Jake pinned you down and  flipped you to where you were laying on your stomach and covered your mouth with his hand. He then started to take off your pants and underwear, you hear him unbutton his pants, you try to scream again this time it works but his hand muffles the sound.

*COLBY’S POV*

The talk with Y/N didn’t go how I thought it would but it needed to happen. I had Aaron check on her a while ago and he said shes going to bed and I decided it was probably a good idea for me to go to bed too. I layed in my bed for a while not feeling tired and just staring at the ceiling fan until I heard screaming from Y/N’s room. I immediately jump out of my bed and run to her room, when I open her door I see her thrashing around her bed asleep screaming for help. I run to her bed and start shaking her trying to wake her up.

Colby: Y/N wake up, its me Colby… You’re okay just wake up.

After a few more shakes she eventually wakes up. She grabbed my arm as soon as she woke up. Sweat beads all over her forehead and her eyes… they had so much fear, there was nothing in her eyes but fear..

*END COLBY’S POV*

You were awaken by someone shaking you, when you opened your eyes it was Colby and you instantly grabbed his arm and stared into his blue eyes with fear looking for comfort. You were scared that Jake was actually there but he wasn’t. You've never had nightmares before but hearing Jakes name again especially after what he did to you must have triggered them.

Colby: Y/N you are okay im here for you.

Y/N: I- I-..

Colby: Shh don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you.

You wanted Colby to stay with you, you were scared to be/sleep alone after that nightmare about Jake. Yes Colby just cheated on you and you probably shouldn’t be clinging to his arm for dear life or wanting him to stay with you, but right he’s the only person/thing that's making you feel safe, nobody has ever made you feel as safe as Colby does..

*COLBY’S POV*

Y/N: I- I-..

Colby: Shh don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you.

Y/N is still clinging onto my arm and looking at me full of fear so I decide to crawl into bed with her. She moves over and instantly puts her head into the crook of my neck so I bring her closer by grabbing her by the waste and holding her tightly while rubbing her back. A few minutes into holding Y/N I hear her begin to sniffle and I just hold her tighter telling her that she’s safe now and nobody can touch her now. What i’m telling her is true, I will never let anyone hurt her again not even in her dreams, I will never hurt her again either. She may not forgive me, but that won’t stop me from protecting her and loving her with my whole heart.

*END COLBY’S POV*
