Nakarating kami sa beach house nila Miguel by 9 pm. Dinig na dinig yung music mula sa garage and I could tell that there are a lot of wasted people in there already.
Jia showed us our room. Four single beds lang per room and before I could even choose who I'll sleep with, nahatak na agad ako ni Jhoana. What choice do I have?
Nagpalit nalang agad ako ng damit. Sinuot ko yung two piece na dala ko. Nagsuot din muna ko ng white short since hindi naman agad ako liligo. Jho was wearing her mustard yellow two piece also. Well, the rest of the girls are.
"Okay na kayo?" Jia knocked and we nodded. Sinundan namin siya palabas ng kwarto.
Paglabas na paglabas namin, kulang nalang sumabog yung puso ko sa sobrang lakas ng tugtog. May pool sa labas and it's color violet. Jia must've chosen the color of the light. May hanging lights din na nagbibigay liwanag sa lugar.
Puro familiar faces yung nakikita ko. Nandito din yung ibang team mates ni Thirdy na ka-close ni Miguel at Jia. Sayang. Edi sana nandito din si—argh. Drama mo Beatriz.
"Bea!"
Nilingon ko ang tumawag sakin and I smiled when I saw Isaac. He was holding a red cup when he approached me.
"Uy." Wow, ang iconic naman ng approach mo Bea.
"Kadadating niyo lang?"
"Oo eh. Mukhang kanina pa kayo ah." komento ko nalang matapos maamoy yung alak sa katawan niya nung nakalapit siya sakin.
"Don't give me that look na parang wala kang balak uminom ngayon." he raised his brow at me and I chuckled.
"Kung ikinukuha mo na ko ng maiinom, edi sana hindi lang ikaw ang nagsasaya." I joked and he laughed.
"As you wish." he said before taking a bow as if i'm some kind of royal highness. Napatawa nalang ako.
He came back shortly with two red cups on his hands. He handed me the other one and I thanked him.
"Cheers?" he offered.
"Cheers." I said before we both drank from our cups.
Everything happened so fast. All I could remember are my small talks with almost every person in this party, and then we were all dancing our butt's out, until here we are, gathered around in a circle with different types of drinks in each of our hand.
"Now what?" Jules asked, obviously wasted.
I looked around and I noticed na puro team mates ko at ibang basketball players nalang ang natira. Jia's not sitting in the circle with us, she's just watching us while leaning on Miguel's shoulder. Her face's red, probably because of the alcohol she consumed.
"I know! I know!" Maddie raised her hand like a kid. We looked at her.
"Let's play Suck and blow." she said while grinning. She almost delivered the words unclearly.
Gosh, is there anyone else in this room who's not yet wasted?
"I want to play!" Jia suddenly stood up and she almost fell, luckily, Miguel was quick to catch her.
"No Melissa, you're drunk." I told her as I pointed my finger at her. Not even sure if I pointed at the right direction.
"And you're not?" she shot back sarcastically.
And I don't know why but I just giggled, which made her do the same, which made every person in this circle laugh for no reason. Wow. This is indeed a fun night!
"Alright alright, let's just play before we all pass out." Deanna announced and we all agreed.
Jia being stubborn as ever, forced Kat and Jules to make room for her and Miguel. Wala namang nagawa yung dalawa kundi umusod. They both glared at Jia though, but she just stuck her tongue out.
