Chapter 9

I went to the living room to take the list of the things mom asked me to get,I went to the supermarket and then to the grocery store, I returned quickly than I expected, by the time I was done I was so tired from the day's stress and I retired to bed early.

The next morning before my alarm even rang my eyes shot open.I had barely slept at all last night just thinking of what dayne told me.

I had a quick bath and put on my short and t-shirt,I went down stairs to make myself breakfast I made myself a plate of scrambled eggs and toasted bagel,I ate it while thinking of what happened last night, I needed something to distract me! I yelled in frustration, I went to the living room and switch on the TV,I kept changing channels after channels but nothing held my interest.

"Thrrrrrring."the door bell rang I stood up immediately and ran to get the door,hoping it was him.

"Surprise!"they exclaimed in unison.

"Mom....dad,"I said in a bored tone.

"Aren't you happy to see us?"Mom echoed coming into the house.

"Oh,I am happy."I rolled my eyes and chuckled behind me as he closed the door."Mom,dad am going to bed."I said going up the stairs.

"Are you okay honey?"she asked concerned.

"Am okay just tired that's all."I said looking at her trying to open a package.

"And did you go to the grocery store."she asked she after successfully opened the package."Oh yes it's in the kitchen."I said going up.

After seeing her reaction last night I was bothered I tried contacting her but the damn phone was unavailable, I saw how she enjoyed her day eating and playing like nothing else matters I still remember her laugh and the pictures I took secretly but I just had to spoil it with that news.

Am not really sure I spoilt her mood because am not exactly sure she has a thing for me but I can hope right,am sure even though she has a thing for me it will be gone by now.

This is like the 100th time am calling her phone but it's still not reachable,I left tons of messages but she replied none,I was starting to worry did she arrive safely from the grocery store?I was starting to feel guilty for not taking her there myself.

A message poped up on my phone and I checked who it was,it was ashley my heart flipped and did a 360,I checked the message.

Ashley:I arrived safely.

I sent another text to her.

Dayne:Are you sure you are okay?

I was surprised when she replied back.

Ashley: Of course I am why won't I be?

Exactly why won't she be okay,she doesn't feel anything for you,that realization hit me had.

Dayne:Right,why won't you be.

Ashley:(smiles)I was the one asking that,so how is your relationship now.
