Chapter 3

I froze in my seat, I was sweating profusely,it felt like my heart stopped beating for a while it took me a while to recover from the shock.

"Fuck."I heard Dayne mutter behind me I guessed I wasn't the only one who was surprised.

"Could you tell the class your name."Ms Lucille's voice brought me back to reality.

"Hello everyone my name is Emily Reed."immediately she said that name it made my heart beat so fast.

"Well go over there and seat beside Dayne will you."Ms Lucille said and she immediately walked through the class and when she got to where I sat down she smiled at me, not a nice kind of smile a deadly smile.

"What the hell are you doing here."Dayne demanded.

"That is no way to greet your girlfriend."Emily replied sarcastically.

"Answer me."he warned.

"Well naturally I came here to learn and to make sure I prevent anyone from stealing you away."she replied looking over to me.

"You are sick."he stated.

"Call me sick if it pleases you."she said still looking at me.

"Well just like Dayne,Emily also needs a tutor so Ashley you will tutor both Dayne and Emily"she concluded.

"What."Dayne and I replied and the whole class turned around to look at us.

"But ma'am it can't be convenient."I said with determination.

"Don't worry sweetie during lunch come collect your schedule from me okay good day class."she said and moved away from the class.

When she left I sighed tutoring Dayne was bad enough but now Emily I don't think I can survive it and why did she have to transfer anyway.

During lunch time I went to meet Ms Lucille in her office and she handed me the schedule for every week and it stated:Monday:Dayne.
Tuesday: Emily.
Wednesday: Dayne.
Thursday:Emily.
Friday: Dayne.
Which she said it's for just a month until they catch up,when I left her office I went straight to the cafeteria and I went Andrea waiting for me.

"Ashley are you alright you look pale."she said touching my head."it's not a fever though."

I explained everything to her and she exclaimed.

"So the transfer student is the crazy girlfriend."I nodded in reply."Oh my God,never mind it I got your back"

"Will you be there when am tutoring her."I asked her.

"No,but do not worry now let's go order."she said dragging me along with her.

Soon the days activities were over and soon Emily approached me.

"Hey."she greeted.

"Hey."I replied.

"Well take a cab to this address I can't give you a ride in my car it will  stink."she said handing over a piece of paper.

"Pardon."before I could go further she moved away towards her car, almost immediately I took a cab to the address written on the paper,when I got down from the car I didn't see any house around I walked down the road and still no house appeared into sight,wait a min did she give me a wrong address soon I was lost i didn't know where I was I took my phone wanting to call andrea but there wasn't signal.

Soon enough the atmosphere got cloudy and it became dark ,it started to rain hard and there was no where for me to take cover, soon I was cold to the bones I could barely see my clothes got really soaked and I fell quite a number of times,everything became blurry and my vision dim but i continued walking, I slipped and fell, I felt a sharp pain on my head it hurt like hell but that's was all I could recall....

I woke up in a strange room I saw a face but i couldn't see it quite clearly because my vision was still blurry the person was talking but I couldn't hear I closed my eyes and I fell into a deep sleep.

After a while I woke up I saw a man in white overall, it couldn't be could it."Where am I"I asked.

"In the hospital."he man replied.

"How did I get here."I wanted to know because I didn't see anyone while I was there.

"Well some good Samaritans saw you lying on the road and brought you here."he said checking my temperature.

"Are they around I wanna thank them."I said really grateful.

"They left they left us in charge and payed your bills."he said looking satisfied with my temperature.

"Really?I wish I could thank them,when can I get discharged from here?"I asked sitting up.

"Tomorrow."he said getting ready to leave.

"Ok thanks doc."I said and he left closing the door behind,i was so exhausted."How could that son of a bitch do this to me technically daughter of a bitch but I almost got killed,until tomorrow then."I sighed I was really tired and lay down it is a good thing mom and dad are not around I finalized and slept off.

I didn't wake up until it was the next day I checked the time on the wall clock and it was 11am I had missed school, I had never missed school not until this happened, I checked my phone and saw series of text from Andrea and missed calls.I will resolve that later I was about calling the nurse requesting for but she came in though hospital food taste bad but who am I to complain,i was so hungry i ate it hurriedly and drank a cup of milk and soon i was discharged , I went home straight and after a while the door bell rang.

"Who could be at the door.. oh don't tell me mum and dad are back."i said fidgeting, I moved sluggishly to the door and I opened and the person I met at the door step surprised me."Dayne."I exclaimed.

"Hey."he greeted.

"Dayne wha'chu doing here and how did you know where I live."I questioned still not letting him in.

"Will you let me in."he said, I moved away letting him in and closed the door.

"Well what are you doing here."I questioned.

"Chill, I found out what happened to you and I was so worried about you when you didn't show up in school today so I asked tha your friend a-a-a,i have forgotten her name where you lived and here I am."he said coming closer to me.

Pitter, pitter,pitter my heart was pounding like crazy I was sacred he heard it when he took my hand and looked into my face, I got lost in his startling blue eyes,no this can't happen I snapped out of the trance, am not like this, I don't believe in stuff like this no it's just not right he even has a girlfriend too good for you, I snatched my hands away from him.

"Now you've seen that am okay you can take your leave."I said trying to conceal my emotions with anger,am just a mess right now and i can't let him see that.

"What's wrong did i do something wrong."He said looking at me disappointedly.

"Well no I just want to be alone and rest a bit."I faking sleep and yawing.

"You need that,well I apologize for Emily again."he said moving out of the house.

"No problem."I said closing the door, I breathed a sign of relief, soon I was feeling sleepy it's being a long day.
