Chapter 23

I sat in Dayne's car and I was having a nervous break down and I don't know why it's not like this is my first date.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I did not Dayne had stopped driving or that he had  packed his car.

"Ashley?" Dayne jolted me back into reality. "Are you ready?" He asks holding out his hands to me like the gentleman he his and I blushed at that kind gesture.

I got down from the car and looked around I haven't had time to look at my surroundings.

Wow! My jaw dropped.

It was lake and it was mesmerizing, don't blame me I was expecting something more clichè this was so unexpected the lake was beautiful and calm and I noticed there was a chair set up for the two of us with roses all over the place and a band playing soft music how come I didn't notice this.

"Do you like it?" Dayne asked fingers crossed.

"Like it, I love it!" I exclaimed.

"You might want to remove your shoe and feel the sand." He suggested and I did that and Omg it was amazing he sand felt great beneath my feet.

Dayne interlocked our fingers and lead me to the table set for us and we started eating the food was delicious and I noticed that Dayne was looking at me the entire time is there something on my face.

"Why aren't you eating?" I asked him battling with the chicken on my plate typical me I know but it is chicken who doesn't love chicken.

"Am full just looking at you." I stared at him with wide eyes cheesy I know but I blushed anyways he was cute.

Not as cute as Cole anyways.

Oh come on brain don't start now!.

You just don't want to believe it but it's true!

Give me a break.

"Ashley,Ash?" Dayne taps me.

"Yes?" I said quickly having realized I zoned out AGAIN.

"What were you thinking about?" He asks.

"You know you." OMG what have I done.

Don't worry it's already out there.

"Really? Then dance with me."He asks.

"I don't know how to dance." I said.

"It's not that hard and I trust you, you can do it and besides am here to guide you."

"Ok."I stand up and we move to the center, ok how does this work again, I put my hands around his neck and he grabs my waist way to go Ash.

After few minutes of dancing I think am getting a hang of it well if you did not count how many times I tripped on stepped on poor Dayne's toe I feel horrible about that but it's not my fault he doesn't know how to stop he kept saying I could it and now am the reason he leaps.

Apart from that the rest of the day was fun we watched the sunset over the lake and it was the most beautiful site have ever seen I even took a picture.

It was getting late and Dayne drove me home, the ride home was shorter than expected when we got to my house Dayne helped me out of the car how cute.

"Thanks Dayne I had fun today." I said sincerely today had really been fun.

"I should be thanking you, you were the best part of today." He said and he stared into my eyes and I stare into it nothing, it was different from the first time we met, Dayne moved closer to me which was awfully close and I knew what was happening next.

He leaned closer to me until finally his lips got to mine and I kissed him back, I can't feel anything I mean it used to be there as Dayne was kissing I was thinking about someone else Cole I remembered our kiss the Sparks and butterflies but I can't feel any of it this is so wrong.

Finally Dayne broke the kiss and I breathed out.

"That was awesome." Dayne breathed out his voice husky.

"It was?" I said in disbelief.

"Good night Ash." Dayne says pecking my forehead.

"Goodnight Dayne." I say and I rushed inside like the fucking coward I was and held my heart nothing no thud or butterflies I don't like Dayne at all.

No,no,no, am doomed.

Here you have it another chapter and am so sorry that I haven't updated in a while had a huge case of writer's block but am back interesting right.

So my question is..... If Ashley isn't in love with Dayne anymore who is she in love with?

Though it's kind of heartbreaking though after sharing a kiss with someone you realize you don't actually love the person.
