Chapter 4

I never thought I will say this but am kinda missing mum, I mean you used to your mom making meals for you each morning but now you make meals yourself not easy especially now when I nearly escaped death.

I rushed down to the bus station like every other day,when I got to school I went straight into Ms Lucille to tell her that am not tutoring Emily anymore, cause am not going through that again,surprisingly she accepted just like that saying she also thought about it and it could affect my grades, blah blah blah and shit like that but I am still tutoring Dayne, I have made up my mind to avoid that guy.

"Hey." speaking of the devil, I was so startled that i dropped my books.

"Hey" I responded picking up my books and Dayne helped me our hands slightly bruising each other and it gave me the chills which am against.

"Seems like I startled you" he said giving me my books.

"Whatever"I said snatching my books from him.

"Dayne"A voice behind me called,a voice I recognize so well,a voice that irritates me."Have being looking all over for you,and I see you're busy"

"Emily it's good you are here,didn't you say you will apologize she was rushed to the hospital you know."he said moving Emily closer to me.

"Apologize for what babe."she said eyeing me.

"You remember our deal."he said reminding her of something I don't understand.

"Ok,ok,ok,Ashley am s-s-sorry for what happened I promise it won't happen again."She apologized.

"Sure I promise you it won't and can't happen again and FYI am no longer your tutor and if you will excuse me I got more important things to do."I said rushing off to class in the last minute.

"Ashley, Ashley, over here."Andrea said rushing over to meet me.

"Sup girl how do you do."I said taking a seat.

"What happened to you I was so worried about you."she took a seat opposite me."And don't forget to tell me about Dayne I know he was at your place".

"Yeah,that's because someone gave him my address, I wonder who it was."I said tapping my chin.

"You do this all the time and now you doing it again." She said smiling."well, spit it out already." Impatience was taking over her voice.

"Ok, I will tell you everything."I said starting to chuckle, I explained everything to her but I didn't tell her Dayne was starting to make my heartbeat cause she will make a big deal out of it she will be like,"oh so a guy can make your heartbeat he is the one for you, why don't you confess your feelings to him.",which is so annoying I can't stand that.

"Wow so what happened when he was there."she said glaring at me.

"I told you okay nothing,nothing, nothing,nothing happened."I said moving forward.

"Whatever."she said following me.

I was so happy when class ended I was so tired I couldn't even go to the mall with Andrea, I went home hastily,opened the door and rushed to bed then I fell asleep after a while I heard the door bell I was so annoyed I grumbled all the way downstairs I got hold of the door knob and opened the door.

"Hello"

"Hi"

"How you doing"he greeted.

"Look am busy ok,Dayne what are you doing here anyways"I said frustrated, honestly I was being mad at him because he his making me feel things i do not want to feel.

"Have you forgotten that you are tutoring me? I  made it easier for you by coming over." He said walking in and I shut the door, he sat on the couch and  the door bell rang again.

"Expecting someone."he asked

"No,not exactly."I wasn't expecting anyone as a matter of fact but who could it be,could it,no it can't be it can't be mum not now,not a good time, I walked nervously to the and opened it bam!

"What! what are you doing here."I was shocked.

"Dayne,Dayne come out here I know you're here."she called barging in and shoving me aside."So this is where you were coming saying you are
busy so this is why you stood me up"she said facing.

"How did you know I was here."Dayne said shocked.

"I followed you of course, my guts feelings were right,now you."she said facing me." So you still did not quit seducing my boyfriend, you even brought him to your house, am sure he refused to come but you forced him." She blurted out facing me,then she moved closer to me and slapped me,oh God what did I ever do to deserve this,when she was about to slap me Dayne came in between us and he got hit.

"Dayne, Dayne,am so sorry I never meant to hit you the slap was meant for her, I was just frustrated I mean she is making us drift apart and making us quarrel she is to blame"she cried a bit but it was short-lived has she dried her face.

"Shut up,just shut up how is she to blame is she the to take the blame of your insecurities I told you countless times there is nothing going on between me and Ashley."he paused midway but why did I look hurt when he said that."She is my tutor you know so I literally came here to study can't you understand. He said being frustrated.

I just stood there looking at what was going on in my peaceful living room, I was still recovering from the slap and rubbed my cheeks desperately from the way it hurt.

"I don't care, seriously I don't care I want you stop seeing or talking to her ok get another tutor if you have to."she said picking her bag from the floor.

"Not happening, seriously not happening, I won't cut off ties with her."he stated.

I was surprised, why didn't he want to cut off ties with me,we are not that close and has she suggested he can always get a new tutor.

"What!What do you mean by that."she said moving closer to him.

"I meant I can't cut off ties with her."he replied.

"You can't mean that, if this is a joke it's not longer funny."she exclaimed glaring at me I felt intimidated by her so I bent my head.

"Seriously you know what am tired of your nagging,tired of dealing with you, tired of this you make me sick I
quit."he lifted up his hand and moved to pick up his bag.

"Dayne,what d-d-o you me-a-n by tha-a-t you are not serious ri-gh-t."she stuttered.

"I mean we are through am done we are through period."he said moving out of the house.

"Dayne come back here that can't be true I will apologize anything don't just leave me. She rushed out of the house trying to catch up with him I closed the door behind them and Dayne words played back in my mind"am through, it is over"

I couldn't just believe it though it happened right here in my presence but I shook it off my mind I went to the kitchen to prepare ice to soothe the pain I was feeling on my check.

I drank only a cup of water and ate some chocolate and went to bed I was just to lazy to prepare dinner all I wanted to do was sleep.

Phew! That was a very long chapter hope you enjoy it.
