Chapter 8

We got to the park,after that awkward silence I couldn't wait to get out,dayne rushed over to open the door for me."dayne I can get the door myself."I came down and looked around though it was still pretty early,people were already scattered around,kids,adult and even the middle aged.

I took in the fresh air which smells great as I was about to take a step further dayne covered by eyes and I chuckled."dayne it's just the park."I did not understand why he was like this but he didn't bulge and led me then he stopped and opened my eyes I gasped.

"Wow dayne you didn't have to prepare this much but it's lovely."I sat on seat dayne provided."I thought it was just the park"he said me."oh common"I slapped his chest but he held my hands right there and I could feel his heartbeat it was getting too tense and I had to do something, I snachted my hands away and cleared my throat."ice cream sound nice you up"he didn't answer instead he looked at me sadly but then he flashed me a smile I couldn't tell if it was fake.

"Now let's dig in"he said taking a seat as well there were varieties of food which I didn't know what to choose there was grilled steak with baked potatoes as a side dish,mushroom cream soup and a bowl of salad,fried rice with cut up ham slice,green peas and fried chicken,strawberry shaved ice,chocolate pudding and a large pizza with chocolate as topping,a chocolate cake with cream frost."wow this is incredible, there is a lot to choose from."I grinned giggling like a child.

As I settled for the grilled steak and potatoes I finished I still wasn't satisfied so I took the bowl of salad and devoured it,took the strawberry shaved ice,then I took the pizza it was slimy, as I continued to eat my pizza I noticed that dayne hasn't being eating but staring at me the whole time."what!"I blinked.

"Why aren't you eating"I said dropping the pizza and going for the fried chicken."hmm delicious emmmhmm"I muttered."you look cute when you eat."he said reaching out his hand to swipe something from my lips I opened my eyes widely."W-what are you doing"I said pushing his hands off my lips."There is something on your face."he said slowly.

"What!"I questioned.

"Beauty!"he said with a grin on his face,am sure I was as red as a tomato right that minute, I looked away."You know you are cute when you blush like that!"he said eating fried chicken.

"What,am not blushing!"I said pretending to be annoyed and I stood up but he caught me my the waist,our body were in close contact with each other."Do I make you nervous?"he whispered against my neck.

"No,of course not"I said trying to escape from his grip but he held my waist firmly he was too built."Oh really,then what if I......"I cut in abruptly since I was uncomfortable."Are you up for some ice cream we can get it over there."I pointed trying to change the subject."Ok but it will be your treat."he grinned.

I nodded and dragged him along with me I held his hand tightly which I didn't even realize I was even doing until he intertwines our hand,I was surprised and I let go of his hand instantly and he smiled.

"I will get the chocolate flavor, what about you?"I asked while discussing with the person in charge."Same as you."

After a while we settled down to take our ice cream the weather was perfect,I was in deep thoughts as I tried to fix every piece of the puzzle together since this is a puzzle to me,I looked at him he was in deep thoughts too.

"Can I get your contact." He asks and we exchanged numbers.

"What is this feeling and what am I doing."I questioned my self,I created a wall around myself and he his trying to break this wall impossible!

I mean I don't believe in love at all my parents may be together but they aren't really together I guess they fell out of love, I saw how hard it was for them trying to be happy and act like everything is okay I don't want to expect that the only reason they are still together is because of me I guess that what my mom tells me,I sighed.

We were once a happy family until both of them got too busy and they rarely communicate.

"Ash."dayne called looking at me intensively."Seems like you are in deep thoughts."he said holding my hands and I felt the sparks once again but I tried hard to brush it off,I gave him a big smile and told him I wasn't thinking after awhile he called me again.

"Ash,there is something I gotta tell you."I looked up at him and gestured for him to go on."it's about Emily,"my face brightened up as he continued."We are back together"he said emotionless, my eyes widened and my chest tightened,I was speechless but I managed to talk."Wow,you must really love her,are we through I wanna go home cause I want to go to the grocery shop...never mind just take me home."I walked forward must I always tell him everything I thought.

The drive back home was very silent and awkward and I was so uncomfortable, I was glad when he pulled up at my house I came out of the car he waved at me and I waved back,when he left I ran into my comfort zone which was my room.

"Stupid,stupid,stupid me, he never said he has feelings for you!"I said hitting my head with my hands continuously, it's not like I like him right but why does it hurt,did he lead me on,no right he just asked me to the park with him just as friends right."Ashley come back to your senses,you need to do something."I whispered to myself in finality.

I made it! I finished this chapter.
