Here we have a little one shot based on my Part Dragon Johnny AU! Enjoy!!"Mummy! Wake up!" John ordered, jumping onto Julia's back to try and shake her awake.
"Hmm? Oh Johnny, it's still very early, you sure you don't want to sleep in?" Julia smiled, nuzzling her very energetic son.
"Not when it's Mother's Day. I want to spend all day with you!"
Chuckling, Julia got up and spread her wings. "Alright Johnny, I'm awake now. How about we start by making breakfast together?" She suggested, trotting out of her hut with John on her back.
"But I can't cook." John squeaked. "And Daddy said boys don't cook."
"Aw, don't listen to that old coot, he's just human, us dragons are very different. But let's not worry about him now, we have fruit to pick." Julia assured to him, picking different berries.
Getting off her back, John tried looking for the biggest fruit he could eat. He soon found an enormous mango perched up on a thin branch. "Better get it before someone else sees it." He thought, flapping his wings as hard as he could. He cheered when he saw his feet lift off the ground, now all he had to do was reach the brightly coloured fruit.
"Yes I got it!" He cheered, picking the mango. But then he felt his wings cramp up. "Ah! Help!!" He cried, luckily Julia caught him just in time. "Oh Mummy, my wings hurt so much.."
"You poor dear. They must have cramped up again, take a little rest. Try not to flap them so hard or else you'll tire out quicker."
"But I really wanted to get this mango, and I wanted to show that I can fly all by myself. That I'm a real dragon."
"Oh Johnny." Julia wrapped her wings around John's little body, comforting her sniffling little boy. "You are a real dragon, being part human doesn't make you any less of a dragon. If anyone says that to you, just remember I'm always here to defend you."
Smiling, John hugged her front leg and nuzzled it. "I love you Mummy."
"Aw, I love you too. My beautiful boy. Now let's get back into the hut and whip up a nice fruit salad."
"Okay, can we have mango juice with it too?"
"Of course! We can have whatever you like." Julia smiled. "Care to help me make the salad?"
"What do I do?"
"Use your claws to slice up the fruit, and then I'll shred some coconut to top it off."
John instantly got to work. "Cooking is fun! We should cook again at lunchtime." He exclaimed once he was done chopping the fruit. "Oh! I almost forgot, I made something for you yesterday."
Trotting over to his hammock, John pulled out a small frame with little bits of his eggshell in it. "I wanted to do something special with my old egg for you. So I made a mosaic from it."
"Aw, this is lovely!" Julia exclaimed, hugging John tight. "We should hang it up on the wall, and when you grow older you'll remember the masterpiece you made as a little dragon."
"Yeah! And when I grow big, I bet I'll make something bigger for you." John smiled, placing the egg mosaic up. "I love you Mummy, happy Mother's Day."
"I love you too Johnny."
