HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINGO!!!!! Also RIP to George's Mom, Louise, she passed away from a brain tumor today as well."Here he comes Paul! Quick, kill the lights!" John exclaimed as he rushed into the studio.
"I thought you were against killing?"
"It's just an expression, but anyways better hide before he comes in!"
Hiding behind the flower covered drum kit, John, Paul, Brian, Maureen and baby Zak waited for their little drummer boy to enter. "Hey, who turned out the lights?"
"SURPRISE!!" They all cheered, pulling Ringo into a tight group hug. "Happy birthday to the best drummer in the world!"
"Aw thank you Paul, I didn't think I was that good.."
"Well we think so, and now this day belongs to you!" John grinned, ruffling his hair. "I got you gold plated drumsticks!"
"Aw you shouldn't have!"
"And Paul got you a new portable radio, Mo and Zak made some cute cards with flowers glued to them, and Brian got us the biggest chocolate cake in the world!"
"Well I wouldn't be surprised if George took a bite or two out of it.. Hey where is he anyways?"
"Said he had somewhere important to be.. Dunno what could be more important than your birthday tho."
"Well when I see him I'll ask what's up."
Once the party was over and everyone had their fill of cake (with George not around there were plenty of leftovers), Ringo decided to go and search for the youngest Beatle. "Hm? I think I see him there, but at the cemetery?" He thought.
Approaching his little bandmate, Ringo noticed that a new grave was added in, and whoever it was, George must have been laying on it for a while now. "Hey little guy.. Something the matter?"
Looking up, George's puffy eyed face met with Ringo's worried expression. "Oh hi Ringo.. Sorry I couldn't make it to your party.. I just.. I.. It just didn't seem right for me to celebrate on this day."
"Why's that? Did someone die?"
"Yes.."
Ringo didn't expect that answer, looking over at the new tombstone, he knew exactly what had happened.
"Oh god.. Yo.. Your Mum.. What happened to her?"
This made poor George tear up just thinking about what happened. "Brain tumor.. I had to see her suffer in the hospital bed.. Her pain may have ended but it seems I gained it.. I don't know how I can live with just one parent.."
Feeling bad for him, Ringo pulled him into a bear hug, stroking his hair. "It hurts a lot now, but the pain will slowly go away after a while.. You don't have to forget her completely, but you don't have to live in constant pain either. Besides, I'm sure she'd want you to be happy."
"Even,. If she's gone forever?"
"She's not totally gone, as long as you remember all the good memories of you and her."
"I.. I guess.. Now I know how John and Paul felt when they lost their moms.."
"And me losing my Dad.. Just remember that you're not alone with this, we're your family too."
Smiling, George snuggled deep into his chest. "T.. Thank you.. I still feel a little sad."
"It's alright, let's just cuddle together for now, we'll just spend the rest of the day together."
