"Hi Luke" I reply dumping the torn up history folder into my locker just as he turned and opened the locker he was leaning on

"I didn't catch your name" he states rummaging around in his neatly organised locker with photos hanging up along the insert of the door

"It's Hannah... coincidence?" I ask gesturing towards his locker being next to mine, he looked to the ground smiling

"Ironically yes" he chuckles

"So you think I'm cute then?" I smirk as his eyes rake up and down my body as he bites his lower lip

"I- well yeah- I gotta go" he abruptly mumbles as he shuts the door, the bell rang for class shortly after...great maths.

Maths was just as boring as history, and yet again I sucked badly at it. Luckily my friend Sara was in the class along with her boyfriend Michael. We sat at the back of the room talking most of the time but today felt different as I entered into the shabby dark room. Luke was in the class too sitting a few desks in front of me, already with his text book open and pencils ready...what a nerd.

"Hey babe" Sara smile sitting in her usual seat next to mine "Michael is skipping again so just us"

"How was the weekend then" I smirk knowing that it was her and Michael's anniversary, and knowing them that would be fucking at every chance they got

"Oi you, he was romantic" she playfully slaps my arm and I notice Luke glance over at me again. "Ok yeah we basically fucked for like 48 hours" she giggles

"Knew it" I smirk at her"Anyway what's with you and the nerdy new guy anyway he doesn't seem like your type" she jokes blowing Luke a kiss as he glances over again

"I'm so not into him" I defensively reply

Our math teacher Mr Connors walked in at that moment shutting up Sara and I. He said nothing just came into the room placed his bag on his desk before grabbing a piece of chalk, he cleared his throat"Write this down" he stated, Sara began writing but I just stared at him

"An asymmetric relation need not be total. For example, strict subset is asymmetric, and neither of the sets is a strict subset of the other. In general, every strict partial order is asymmetric, and conversely, every transitive asymmetric relation is a strict partial order"

"I have no idea what he's talking about" I roll my eyes at Sara who nods"I just write it down I never really look over it again" she shrugs

"Hannah, shut up and wait for me after class" he didn't even look at me "Not all asymmetric relations are strict partial orders, however. An example of an asymmetric intransitive relation is the rock-paper-scissors relation: if X beats Y, then Y does not beat X, but no one choice wins all the time"He continued his boring lecture about asymmetry {laughs} the bell for break rang shortly after I started doodling on the paper in front of me.

After everyone had left he made me stay behind,"Hannah" he begins looking at me from his seat "to put it bluntly you're failing my class and If we don't see any improvement before the upcoming exam then you will have to re take this year"

"But mr Connors" I exclaim

"I'm sorry Hannah but-" he cut himself off as Luke appears at the door "Luke come in" he smiles "Hannah after today Luke has expressed a very high level of mathematical skills and I think he may be the answer to getting you a pass"

"You're asking him to tutor me?" I frown looking at Luke who is clearly blushing

"That is exactly what I'm saying" Luke looked at me and I looked at him as mr Connors left.

"Just come to my house after school" I huff leaving Luke "and you try anything I swear I'll kill you Luke"

"Try what?" He smirks "try to fuck you or something? You wish"

"You said I was cute?" I turn around defensive but he was right behind me and our faces where inches apart

"Maybe I lied" he smirks his voice going husky before he walked out slumping his bag over his shoulder.
