I'd had the most amazing weekend of my life, now Monday had come around and this was a day I was not looking forward to. Why you ask, well today was the day that my mum and Derik were arriving home from their little weekend break. Which meant Ashton and I had to go back to the way things were before, staying apart, not contact, not much communication.
Any change in our behaviour would result in so many questions, and I was not prepared to give away any answers. Sitting on the couch with the laptop open on resort destinations, if our folks had decided to move the wedding sooner we would have to think of a plan to leave as soon as possible."what are you doing?" Ashton asks, planting a kiss on my forehead as he hands me a cup of coffee
"Looking for places for us to escape to" I sigh closing the laptop abruptly
"We will find somewhere, we need to discuss it together though" he squints looking at the driveway to find Derik's car pulling up outside the house "well that's them home babe" a large sigh escaped his lips, I knew he didn't want this to be over just as much as I did.
"Back to our so called normality" The door is opened with a tremendous bang as my mum re enters the house, suitcase in tow
"How has my girl been" she squeals with excitement before embracing me in a hug
"Fine mum" I state unable to breathe
"She's not been misbehaving has she?" She giggles at Ashton
"No, no she's been a good girl" he chuckles giving me a slight wink. Oh great.
"Me and Derik have some news for you both" here we go, they are going to tell us that they have moved the date of the wedding because they are so madly in love with each other.
Derik enters the living room standing rather protective of my mother. "Derik and I- well we have two lots of news to celebrate" no mum no "we've moved the wedding forward, so it's on the 19th of October now instead of March next year" wow that's a huge leap forward "And well Derik and I are expecting our first child together" she beams with excitement showing us her pregnancy test.
Well this really fucks things up for Ashton and I now doesn't it.
