October 19th ; the day of the wedding

This was the day I was now dreading, how did we end up here ? It was only a few months ago that I was sitting in my room reading and Ashton the ass hole Irwin had to walk in and make my heart beat a million times a minute.

Today I would have to sit next to him at this wedding and pretend everything was normal, when we both knew full well that this wasn't normal. I love him, there I said it, I love Ashton Irwin and nobody could stop me from loving him like I did.

Throughout the whole ceremony, Ashton and I had to sit at the front, next to each other without a single word, without a single glance, without a single touch. I couldn't take it anymore why do these things take forever? My mum had been married before, and so had Derik, so why they went the whole Shebang and had the best of the best I don't know.

"You'll be next" My grandmother said to me, yes grandma you said that at my mums last wedding, and the man I actually want to marry is sitting next to me, about to be my step brother. Oh how awkward

"Calm" Ashton whispers giving my hand a quick squeeze. That was all I needed to comfort me on a day like today.

"Do you Jane Margo Winchester, take Derik Irwin to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do"

"And do you Derik Irwin take Jane Margo Winchester, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do"

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride"

In that moment I wanted to break down. I couldn't sit here for any longer than what I was, it's done we are now family and our little secret just became a dirty little memory.

We had decided that we shouldn't see each other anymore, since my mum was having another baby we couldn't just leave them, it would be wrong.

After the meal I felt a lot more relaxed, a few more guests arrived for the evening leg of the wedding. Which included a lot more alcohol and dancing. Everyone seemed distracted with everything going on around them Ashton and I actually had some 'us' time for the first time in months.

"I have something to say to you" Ashton began, he didn't look too happy as he spoke

"What's wrong?"

"Look, I know we said to leave it, but I can't, Jodie I love you, and I've been in love with you for so long I don't want this to end. You're so special to me and being with you properly for that weekend all those months ago were the best. I don think giving up Is the answer"

"Ash- I- I love you too, I always have and I always will, but what do you suggest we do?" I ask as he takes his hand in mine

"I've booked us to go somewhere, Not forever but just for a little while, I'm telling our folks that it's a group holiday with some of our friends"

"Then what are we going to do? When we come back act like everything is normal?"

"'No when we come back, we're going to tell them about our feelings for one and other, they won't like it but they can't stop us"

"You've really thought this through haven't you ?" I giggle

"Yeah, they have this new baby coming soon, they will have him or her to focus on rather than our relationship" he half smiles, feeling rather triumphant at his little plan, I really wanted this to work. But a swirling feeling in the pit of my stomach told me that this wasn't going to.

Two months after their wedding Ashton and I had gone on our little vacation, he'd booked us a trip to Paris which was rather exciting. We saw all the beautiful sights, tried all the exotic food, had wild and amazing sex every night, but now we had the hard part... Telling our folks.

Mum was heavily pregnant with out little half brother Dean. This poor baby would have a very complicated family if Ashton and I had kids. We had rehearsed everything we would say while on our way back from the airport, ready to tell them about are dirty little secret. But as we pulled up at the drive nobody was to be seen... How strange.

"What do you think had happened?" I exclaimed looked from the empty house to Ashton.

"I have no idea" his eyes told a million different stories

"Don't lie ash what's happened?"

"I may have made a few calls while we were away" he shrugs

"I'm not proud of what I've done but hey"

"What Ashton"

"I did some digging, my dad... Isn't actually my dad"

"What?" I couldn't comprehend what he was saying at this moment

"My mum had an affair, and told me my entire life that Derik was my dad, I only believed her because they were married and I've always called him dad"

"You do realise this changes everything right?" I exclaim wanting to jump for joy

"it changes a whole lot, which I'm glad about because I get to be with you properly with no strings attached" he smiles

"so in light of this new information, I'm going to ask you a question"

"And what's that?" I beam

"Will you be my girlfriend? And make me the happiest man alive?"

"Of course I will " I beam from ear to ear his lips pressing to mine

"What do you say to making as much use of this free house as possible" he winks

"I'd say that's an awfully good idea daddy"

"Say that again for me one last time"

"Daddy"
