"WHAT IN HELL ARE YOU PLAYING AT LAURA!" Cass began to yell. "I was WAITING FOR AGES! I NEEDED YOUR HELP! OR DO YOU NOT WANT TO SAVE YOUR PUNY LITTLE LIVING FRIEND?" Cass was going to lose her shit. "Look Cas-" She interrupted, "OHHHH, AND TO HANG OUT WITH ABIGOR AND MASON HUH? IS THAT HOW IT IS HUH? CASS GO AND SAVE MY FRIEND, EVEN THOUGH IT'S HER FUCKING FAULT SHE'S HERE WHILE I GO OUT AND HAVE FUN WITH OUR BROTHER!" Andddd, consider it lost. "Cass, please," I looked at her. It wasn't me who had said that. It was our brother. I still didn't know what his name was, it was just narrowed down, to two. She looked empathetically towards him, "Look, Abigor, Please. Just- Laura was meant to help me with the cooking, which STILL isn't done," She shot me a glare and continued, "And I know you have problems, hell we all do but-" I interrupted her as she did to me, clearly she didn't like this, but she would have to deal with it. "Listen, I looked on the other side of the scroll, there was a note, to fix a broken ship, and I think this is it. So I needed to do this anyway. I decided I could manage it on my own." Cass visibly calmed at my explanation, but not by much. "Aw, Abi. Why didn't you just tell us, you little serpent. You've got Laura here doing your work for you," She hugged him close to her, now I was the only one confused, "You what?" Abigor laughed, "Not that posh now are we?" I bit my lip, "Hehe, I mean yo- I-" He laughed it off " S'fine, he was already in a complete mood with me." I looked at him questioningly "Shouldn't you go after him?" He shook his head, "Nah, he's just tired, he hasn't been sleeping well, he can tell we are related. I mean he isn't THAT blind," He laughed and continued, "He'll get over it, he wants me to go after him, but will be so angry if I do. If I don't, yeah, he'll be mad, but he'll get sleep." Cass facepalmed, "See, this is why you're relationship is completely failing, why don't you just go upstairs and sleep as well! That way you'll both be ready for this bloody dinner I've worked my ass of making!" Cass shooed him out of the hallway and pointed up the stairs. At this point, I think he realised that he was not going to defeat Cass and that she was making a good, valid point. So he did as she said. And now it was us. Left with the goodness knows how many children. Cass looked slightly annoyed at me but huffed and said, "So I suppose you think I'm stupid for not looking at the back?" I didn't know whether to deny this or agree, If I denied she might call me out and if I said yes that would NOT go over well. NOT AT ALL. "It's fine, you do just agree, so I can get on with this," She sighed, and so I nodded. At this current point, I could hardly hear her, because of people arguing and shouting, they weren't arguing with each other though, it seemed that it was more like someone had made too much noise, and the person from the floor below had decided to have a fight about it, oh and the screeching children. "There was nothing on the back of the list," she shouted over the noise. "What?" I said, surprised, "DON'T YOU BELIEVE ME?" She nodded, but before I could respond, she added, "Abigor wrote it. And then purposely arrived here at this time." I raised my eyebrows at her very far fetched theory, "How would you know that?" I asked, and she scoffed, "You think I don't know my baby brother? He's 25, I've known him since forever." I nodded, "But I still wanna help," Cass laughed, "Good. Cause you have to." I squinted, "Wait, what? You literally just said he wrote it on?" She put her head in her hands, "Yes, But he still wrote on it, soooo, now it's legally and devilishly binding." Oh. Of course. Of course there was a catch. Of fucking course. I sighed and smiled heavily, "No matter, I was going to help them out anyways." Cass looked at me and grimaced "I mean whatever you say gurl." I glared and she sighed. "Look, seeing how we have to help Abigor and Mason now, I have a key to their shared room upstairs. Soooo." I winced, "Cass, hun. They're a couple. And couples... Well as proven by our 465 other siblings. Well. They get down to business pretty often." Cass laughed at my awkwardness "Ohhh. That's what your worried about. No problem. I already let him know we were gonna come up stairs. 'SO NO FUNNY BUSINESS!' I believe, were my exact words." I laughed and looked up at her. "Fine. You win." She smiled, "YES! Let's go save this sinking ship!" I followed Cass and raced upstairs, overhearing several arguments, singing, dance and of course crying. Once we reached the floor we needed to, I began to think. We shouldn't have left those children. Cass sensed my worry and gazed at me, "Don't worry one of my cousins, Esromer, is going to deal with them, she should be downstairs by now." But I was also wandering about the child Mason had taken with him, the little girl was two or three at the most. But then it was pretty obvious. They WERE looking after most of the infants so she was probably one of the couple's children, which he had to return. We reached towards the door and opened it using the key Cass had. Upon opening the door, we were greeted with the tear stained face of Mason sat on the couch, with his head in his hands. And Abigor was clearly not there.
