Ugh. I'm too young for this. Wayyyy too young to be dealing with this crap. They're only ten years older than me, I hope this never happens to me. Mason glanced over at me and glared. I whispered to Cass next to me, "Jeez, are demons always like this?" Cass tried to cover her laugh but failed hopelessly. "Like laughing at people's pain, huh?" Mason said, but his voice was breaking, quite visibly. Cass obviously knew Mason much better, as she walked up to him and hugged him, or maybe she just liked hugging people. He barely hugged her back, he looked like he had no energy at all. "Mason, I'm going to find Abigor, you stay here, and go to sleep or talk to Laura, do something constructive." He nodded, and Cass waltzed out of the door. I went to sit down on the opposite couch when he stopped me. "No, It's fine, sit here." He patted the space next to him, so I did. He smiled wearily, and spoke up suddenly, "I'm, sorry. I don't sleep a lot. You're his sister aren't you?" I nodded, and e lowered his head, "It was stupid." He muttered, I decided to mend a ship, you may as well boost the confidence of those on it right? "It wasn't as stupid as Abigor running off," He covered his face with his hands, "He hates me doesn't he?" I automatically did NOT know what to say, so I did the stupidest thing in the world. I didn't say anything. "Oh, god, He does doesn't he?" He cried I looked at him with sympathy, "I don't think, he HATES you. He really loves you, and he wants you to be happy, but he's not too good at showing it," He smiled sadly, "But why wouldn't he follow me?" I put my hand on his shoulder, "Look, he wanted you to get some sleep, as you mentioned before, you haven't slept for a while, he didn't want to follow you because he thought you'd be mad at him," He sighed deeply and put his hand on his heart, "I just wish he'd go with his gut sometimes, he knows what to do, he's just too scared to do it," He sighed again, and I listened to his ramblings and arguments about everything for what felt like hours.
After around two hours, he had finished rambling, crying and laughing, and as we concluded our chat I noticed something, he looked so much more relaxed, but Abigor was still NOT here. Which was not helpful, at all. He began to lay down and eventually fell asleep, leaving me on my own. Cass opened the door shortly after, which was helpful because it was quite boring to just sit there on my own. "Found Abi," She stated, "Took you long enough," I rolled my eyes, and she swatted my arm playfully, "There are about 700 rooms in this whole place, and it expands every minute, it was quite difficult," She said, truthfully enough, I nodded, and asked, "Well, where is he?" She rolled her eyes and moodily pushed Abigor around the corner. "Is he asleep?" I asked and she nodded, "Potion," she stated, "I couldn't get him to come with me otherwise," I laughed, "So you drugged him then?" Cass faked shock, "I would NEVER," she explained. We were still being careful not to wake Mason, My eyes lit up, as an idea developed, and Cass noticed. "What is it?" Cass asked me, I looked up, "Maybe, we should buy flowers and cards for Mason, and sign them from Abigor, but tell him that beforehand!" I exclaimed, Cass looked sceptical but seemed to like the idea overall. "I'll have to edit it into his mind though, he won't wake up until after Mason does," She said, and proceeded to talk in a very strange language to Abigor, despite him being asleep, he did seem to understand what she was saying. "Okay! Done! Now let's get started on the flowers and cards," She held her hand up and summoned the flowers and the cards. "Jee, why didn't Abigor do this himself?" Cass laughed, "He hates doing everything with magic, he only does certain things with it, when it's absolutely necessary," I scoffed, "Well, you'd think when his relationship is on the line he'd do some magic pretty bloody quickly," Cass squinted, "Yeah, but you see his magic has a way of going wrong, for example, he'll ask for flowers, and he gets dead flowers." Ohhhhh, "That makes sense that he wouldn't do that then," Cass nodded and laughed a little. I put my finger to my lips, in an attempt to shut her up a bit. She nodded in recognition, and smiled as she pulled Abigor towards the sofa and placed him on it, she raised her hand and the sofa turned into a bed, with pillows and blankets. "Woahh," Cass smiled smugly, obviously proud of her magic. "Now," She started, "Write the cards like this, so you can imitate his writing," She showed me how to imitate his handwriting, by holding his hand and saying "Absorb," then by holding your hand over the card, and moving it in swishing movements, then clearly think the words you wish to write, and then they would appear on the card.
Once we were finished, we left the apartment, leaving the flowers and cards on Masons' side of the bed. We can hope this finally saves Becca. And my brother's relationship. We actually have to finish cooking the dinner and have it, then Becca will be back. This should be easy. I hope. I really hope.
