So. I'm supposing the mind stone thing didn't work? Like at all. Like not even a little. The girl walked closer from her place on the stairs to right in front of me. "Yeah, sorry about that, she's really a great girl once you get to know her, you know?" I raised my eyebrows, somehow I very much doubted that. "How did you know what I was thinking?" The question that was burning in my mind had now been released. Now it was her who raised her eyebrows, she turned her head and said, "Now however could I do that? You have the stone, You were simply muttering to yourself and I overheard you." Oh. Well, now I felt foolish, "Oh, s-sorry. And your mate is really cocky, you know?" I said accidentally stealing her catchphrase, she winked and smiled, "Now, whoever said we were just friends?" RULE ONE IN THE DEMON WORLD: Accept everything, and everyone and their actions. NO MATTER WHAT. I smiled at her, "Heh, sorry for assuming." she shook her hand dismissively, "Don't apologise," Curiosity sparked into my mind, "By the way," I began, "What did you call me?" She looked confused for at least a second until realisation dawned upon her. "Oh, I called you after one of my sisters,  anath. You're Laura, are you not?" she asked, I nodded and she smiled warmly, "Well, I'm Calionia! In case you didn't hear from all the arguing. I'm 28, and I'm one of your many older siblings!" I returned her smile, and nodded, "How do you all know about me?" Calionia smiled simply, "Father showed us pictures of you on Earth, I have one, look!" She pulled out a picture of a school - more specifically - my school, and student surrounded by monsters and creeps. "UM!" I shouted out, she noticed my discomfort and waved her hand over the image, it turned normal. The students, normal. Completely ordinary. She gave me a sort of look, a look that said 'don't even ask' or 'you don't want to know' or at least that's what I took it to mean. "What are we meant to do when she finds out I'm not anath, and why is she so scared of her?" Calionia jumped in fake shock. "Woah, Woah, WOAH, there little butterfly don't fly too high with all these questions, she will find out, she'll be mad, but she'll get over it, and she'll get used to being around you, she doesn't know we're related, I'll tell her at dinner later though." I nodded, "But you said she wouldn't find out," She rolled her eyes, playfully, "Well, you see I don't see the point in telling you she would find out as you seemed on the brink of a panic attack, for father's sake!" I laughed at my open awkwardness from earlier. "Well, I'll have to go let her know that we're having dinner, and please, just try to get to know her, I know she can be difficult, but she's been through a lot and also, she lives here. So you'll see her a lot, you know? In your eternity in hell?" I hid a laugh and smiled, "How do you live inside one poxy little room for 'father's' sake?" She laughed and jokingly hit my shoulder, "When you get married or move in with someone your room turns into a place to suit both people's needs, kind of like a human's apartment, I suppose," I raised my eyebrows once again, "You're married?" She giggled at lifted up her hand to show a black ring, with a scatter of red jewels painting the surface. "Woahhh..." She nodded in agreement, "This is a ring, of blood binding, It makes two people inseparable, some give it to the other when the love each other and they have a choice to wear it or not, but, however, some are forced to wear it, meaning at the core of the love is hatred. You see, you can't take the ring off. No matter what happens, and you can only be given one. Until that one is gone, by mutual decision, only then you be given another one," That was a lengthy explanation, but interesting at that. I noted to myself. A mark appeared on Carlionia's arm, a mark in the shape of a tall creature with bent limbs, but the letter 'z' scattered around it, she noticed my shock and looked down at her arm, her eyes widened, as a high-pitched scream echoed throughout the castle, before I could ask what, when, how or why she had shot upstairs. A boy, who was in one of the rooms on the above floor could be heard from where I was stood, he was shouting, "FICREIS! SHUT THE HELL UP!" Whatever was happening, he seemed to be used to it, and that gave me a good enough reason to believe nothing serious had happened at all. At this point, I figured if I was to live here forever, I would need to know about it, and sure, Cass and Becca needed my help NOW, but I wanted to know what happened to Carlionia's arm NOW. And we weren't really at a loss for time anyway. Hence the decision I made next. I decided to pick up a quick book at my room on soulmates and rings to attempt to search for the answer in there.
