Phone Rings
"Girl it's too early in the am for these back to back phone calls." Michelle said yawning.
"Sorry Michelle. I got to work late and Malik has football practice and I need you to take him."
"Why you can't take him? You usually get off and take him."
"I got a heavy work load today. Come on now don't act like that."
"Fine I will take him. What time he got to be there?" Michelle asked swinging her legs on the side of the bed.
"Practice starts at 5 today."
"Fine I'll take him. Hey do you have a second?"
"Yeah wassup?"
"Gab why Jarod showed up at my house last night."
"For what this time? Don't he got a wife?"
"Yeah and he doesn't take no for a answer."
"What you mean?"
"Well he came and kind of ate me out."
"What the fuck you mean kind of? Either he did or he didn't."
"Fine he did and we ended up having sex. I feel stupid for allowing that shit to happen."
"Damn right. He ain't no damn good girl. Let his wife take care his ass."
"He claims he's not with her." Michelle said walking in the restroom to brush her teeth.
"And you believe that shit? Girl bye. He's a big liar and all he wants is what he wants."
"And you are right it want happen again."
"Well good. I got to go back to work but Malik will be ready. Ok thanks sis."
"No problem."
I hung up with my sister and looked at the time. It was already 4:30. And better be glad I was headed out the door.
I grabbed my keys and headed to my sisters house. I blew the horn and my nephew came right out.
He jumped in and slammed the door.
"Damn boy don't tear my damn door off."
"Sorry auntie I'm just running behind."
"You will get there but don't break my door in the progress."
"Yes mam."
We headed to the school so I can drop Malik off. We arrived at 4:50. He still had time to get in and warmed up.
I didn't feel like going back home so I stayed at the practice. And then I saw this fine ass man walking towards me.
"Hello I'm Malik's coach Daniel East and you are?"
"His aunt Michelle Carter."
"Well hello Michelle. Thanks for bringing Malik to practice. We have a game Friday and I need my main man here."
