Banquet

I pulled up to the banquet and parked the car. I got out the car and looked for my sister and my nephew. I found them and joined them at their table.

"Nice to see you decided to come auntie."Malik said.

"Yeah baby I had nothing else to do."

"Great." Malik said smiling.

Gabby looked at me and shook her head.

"Umm Malik go get me and your aunt some punch."

"I know what this means girl talk right?"

"And you know it."Gabby said.

"Well I can just go speak to the other team members."

"Ok but I still want my damn punch boy."

Malik laughed and said "ok mama."

He leaned down and kissed us both and walked off.

"So I had a little talk with some of the parents and they said Coach is very private. He cares about these boys and is very active with them.

"I know he does a lot for Malik as well."

"Wow that's amazing."

"It is so what I would do if I was you is ease my way in there with him." Gabby said winking her eye.

"Girl I ain't doing that shit."

"I didn't say fuck the man damn I said get to know him. Befriend him or something."

As soon as I was about to respond Jarod texted me. I already knew that was coming.

Michelle:

Jarod:
Stop trying to play hard to get. What you doing?

Michelle:
I'm not playing anything I'm out why?

Jarod:
Let me come smell you.

Michelle:
No I'm busy go smell your wife.

Jarod:
You know you want me stop putting on. What color?

Michelle:
Leave me alone.

"Who is that got you frowning like that? And please don't tell me Jarod."

"It is."

"Why you even respond?"

"Cause he will keep texting and texting."

"Block his ass simple."

"Look I don't want to talk about him ok. Now like I was about to say. You know I hate rejections and I don't look at myself as fine so why would he want to be my friend?"
