This chapter is dedicated to MrDamian0 and ColdBloodKiss
So I'm posting this chapter early because I don't think I'll have time tomorrow. I hope you all enjoy this chapter!
Aiden's POV
Oh God. Please. Luna, I can't loose him, it was the only thought running through my mind as I rushed out of the room and bounded up the stairs.
Sammy was right behind me as we ran up the stairs to Liam's make shift room."No", I heard Sammy gasp seconds before I felt it. A snap and the bond with him was no longer there.
I growled as we continued our rush to his room. I scanned my fingerprint on the scanner and growled when it didn't scan, I tried a second time trying to keep my hands still. The door unlocked with a click, which sounded like a gunshot going off in the quiet and stillness of the room. All that could be heard was our harsh breathing and the thundering of our own hearts.
I slammed the door open and we ran down the hallway to the bedroom. The door was locked and I banged my shoulder against it to get the lock to break. Sammy pushed me aside and together we banged our shoulders against the door. We slammed the door two more times before we stumbled into the room when the door instantly slid open.
>Michelle get a damn bed ready. Liam's heart has stopped beating. I don't know what he took but... Please< I screamed on the link with our pack doctor. I cursed when my voice cracked and my vision got blurry.
"He's- he's not breathing", Sammy said his eyes glistening with tears.
"I know baby. But we have to get him to the doctor. Come on, help me carry him", I said softly and he nodded his head as the both of us carried him. I lifted Liam's head and Sammy grabbed his feet. We shuffled out of the room, ignoring the weight of his body. It was dead weight already.
"Aiden!", I looked up and saw Caleb running towards us.
"Let me carry him", He said before he knelt and picked Liam up. Sammy growled, he didn't want to let go of his son but I just grabbed his hand and we ran to the lifts.
We got in and I pressed the ground floor.
"What are you doing here?", I asked once the doors closed.
I noticed how he kept on glancing at Liam and he looked a little pale. That's impossible, he has a mate, I thought.
"I can't explain it. I felt on edge all evening and night. Then all of a sudden I had the urge to come see him and halfway up I - I couldn't feel him anymore", He ended off in a whisper.
"You still have feelings for him", Sammy said shocked.
I watched his head whip up and he looked at Sammy.
He opened his mouth to deny it before he sighed in defeat.
"I'm sorry. Can you tell?", He asked softly as he brushed a piece of Liam's hair out of his face. Tenderly, as if he didn't want to hurt him. Anymore.
"I know that look. But you have a goddamn mate", I said accusingly. You can't have feelings for someone else. You just can't.
"I know. By Luna, I know. But he just... He just keeps coming back to me. I can't stop", He said just as the doors opened.
We made a mad dash through the lobby and to the infirmary.
"What's wrong? I can't feel the bond", Michelle said as soon as we walked into the infirmary.
"He's stopped breathing. I don't know what he took but his body looks fine. Please just...just bring him back", Sammy said before he burst into a sob.
"We'll do everything we can. We can't loose him. Put him on the bed", She said as Caleb dropped him onto the bed.
We moved aside as the doctors and nurses rushed to bring him back to us. To all of us.
"You can't be here. You have to wait outside. Alpha's please", A nurse said and we numbly nodded.
We quickly walked outside and sat down on the chairs.
"What happened to you and Liam four years ago? You met your mate and all of a sudden my son refuses to leave his room. Four years Caleb. Four years! He doesn't want to see any of us. Faybelle doesn't even know her own brother! Hunter and Madelyn Rose haven't seen him in years! I haven't seen him in four years. We've tried so hard but he refuses. And now he commits suicide. What did you say to him? What happened?", Sammy asked him after a few minutes of tense silence.
Caleb looked up before he sighed heavily.
"I'm sorry Sammy. I really am. You know Caleb and I were never meant to be. He isn't my mate and I'm not his either. Daniaal is my mate. And Liam... Liam found it hard to accept that. He wanted me and I - I, Luna I wanted him too. I loved him and I - I still do. But he can't know that. I can't love someone else.
Four years ago Liam and I said our last words to each other, he wanted me to stay in his life and Daniaal absolutely didn't want me to. He was jealous of the relationship I had with Liam and was adamant that I should part ways with him. I spoke to my Dad and he said that sometimes you have to do things to keep the peace between mates, so I did. I broke off with Liam and I know that hurt him more than me finding my mate",Caleb said as tears slipped down his face.
"Why didn't you try to befriend him again?", I asked softly. Sammy climbed onto my lap and cuddled under my chin as he cried softly. I kissed his hair and looked back at Caleb.
"I did. But Liam refused to see me. The damage was done and I couldn't make him come out", He said and quickly wiped his tears as Daniaal ran into the room.
Sammy started growling softly. He never did like Daniaal and I couldn't figure out why. Sure he was a bit rude but he was family and pack.
Daniaal nodded at us before he sat next to Caleb and Caleb looked at me. I saw from the look on his face that he didn't want to upset Daniel and I nodded as we dropped the subject.
I found it strange, bizarre and fascinating that someone with a mate could still be so in love with someone else. Could they be a three way mating perhaps? But there hasn't been any sign of it. Could they just be too hung up on the past?
More and more pack members came into the room despite it being such an early hour, three in the morning. Hunter and Madelyn Rose came in with their mates and a sleeping Faybelle. We left her in her arms because I knew Sammy was too sore to hold her. Looking around I wished Liam could see it. See that everyone cared for him. Despite him being missing for so long and neglecting his duties, they cared and loved him. We all cared about him and loved him. Not only because he was their Alpha but because he was family. He grew up around these people and they couldn't bear to see a loved one try to leave life so early.
It was going to be a sad night, I hope they bring my son back because we can't loose him. I can't loose him. I've lost too much already.
