Liam's new body^^

Aiden's POV

Caleb was out the door before I could even blink and Sammy and I followed close behind him. Michelle was already running down the corridor and followed us in.

We ran into the room only to be stopped by Caleb standing just past the doorway.

I made to step around him but he grabbed my arm and stopped me.
I finally looked at Liam and I couldn't stop the gasp that tore out of my throat.

Liam had managed to jump out of bed, he had ripped off the tubes and wires connecting him to the machines and was standing in a protective stance in front of the window. He looked different, his eyes were glowing green, which was impossible because his eyes glow gold when he shifts. He had what looked like tattoos running up his arms, disappearing under his patient garment and up around the base his throat. His fangs, which was bared, was longer and could do more damage. His claws were out and his frame, his bulk was bigger. He looked meaner, fiercer, much more dangerous.

That's not our Liam or Hades.

"Who are you? Why do you have me here?" He growled, flashing his fangs and we all immediately dropped to our knees. The power behind his voice, had his power increased? What happened to him? You can't change your entire appearance overnight.

"Your name is Liam. We're your parents, Aiden and I. You - you drank something and we had to rush you to the hospital. We're not here to harm you, we're just here to help." Sammy said softly while holding up his hands to show he wasn't a threat.

He tried to stand up but Liam roared and he immediately kneeled again.

"Liar! I don't you, and my name is Hades. Alpha Hades." He growled out as his green eyes swept over our kneeling forms.

Our son didn't even know who we were? Oh God, just when I thought the road was going to get easier.

"Hades, do you remember me?" Caleb asked softly, expectantly.

Hades cocked his head to the side and inspected Caleb. From his expression he didn't know any of us.

"You. Yes I do. Caleb." He said softly, his breath exhaling when he said the name.

Caleb gasped and nodded.

I watched in horror as Hades' eyes rolled into his head and his entire body dropped. I leapt to my feet and sprinted to him. I managed to catch him just as he fell to the floor.

"Put him on the bed now!" Michelle screamed and I immediately placed him on the bed, where she started working on him.

She didn't mention the tattoos and the markings or his bulkier figure.

Sammy came to stand next to me and slipped his fingers into mine.

"He's different." He said softly, almost afraid of speaking too loudly in fear of waking him up again and I nodded.

"But that doesn't change anything. He's still our son. Even if he doesn't remember us." I said and wiped my tears away quickly.

"He will. He will. We're his parents."  Sammy said. A small part of me remained unconvinced. He couldn't remember us but he could remember Caleb?

"Doc what's wrong with him? Is he okay? Did - did something else come up?" Sammy asked after Michelle finished checking him.

She sighed softly before she looked up at us.

"Honestly Sammy, I just don't know what happened. I was present for all the scans we did to his body and everything was normal. No irregular or strange brain activity, his stomach is clean of that poison, he's healthy, strangely so after what he took and considering he flatlined twice during the operation and wasn't breathing before you brought him here, his health his too good.

And not to mention how he managed to get all these tattoos and markings? They were not here this morning and I am damn well sure that they were not here when you were standing on the other side of that glass. You don't get these markings, this bulk, this muscles or mass in a blink of an eye. Liam is my Alpha too, but something strange is going on here. I don't mean to cause unease or doubt but all I'm saying is be prepared." She said and I couldn't help but agree with her.

Liam didn't look like he spent four years locked in a few rooms, his skin wasn't pale, he didn't look bloated or overweight, he didn't have dark circles under his eyes anymore. He looked good. Great actually.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" I asked Michelle and stepped away from Sammy.

He immediately made his way to Liam's bedside and took his hand. Caleb stood to the side and made no move to touch Liam, he was oddly quiet after reading the letter.

"We found this in Liam's room. I think it was the poison he drank. Maybe you could test it out, see if it could have any long term effects, or effects we don't know about so we can plan for them." I said as we stood to the side.

I handed her the bottle in the case and she slipped on a pair of gloves before she took them from me.

She opened the case and looked at the bottle.

"I'll send this to the lab. They should be able to tell us something." She said and put it in a packet, she picked off the cart, and slipped it onto her pocket.

"Thank you, for everything." I said sincerely. Our son would not be here without her help.

"Papa? Is he okay? Is Liam-" I heard Hunter gasp as he rushed into the room and stopped short when he caught sight of Liam.

"Hunter he's okay. Michelle says he's stable now and he's fine. Come here, where's Madelyn Rose and Faybelle?" Sammy asked as Hunter pulled a chair to sit down next to him.

"She's giving Belle a bath, that child managed to get honey in her curls." He said with a chuckle as he took in his brother's appearance.

"Dad what's going on? What happened to Liam?" He asked worriedly.

"We don't know Hunt. I - I don't know. But he's okay. I mean look at him, yesterday he was dead in our arms and today he's here, strange, different but here. I won't neglect and reject the blessing Luna has provided us with." He said and wiped the tears that ran down his cheeks.

I pulled up a chair and sat down next to my son and mate.

"He'll wake up soon. And we have to be here to ensure he feels safe and he's okay." I said and they nodded.

I glanced at Caleb and he was staring at Liam strangely. What's going on with him?

"Caleb? Son, are you okay?" I asked and watched as he snapped his head up and nodded.

"Yeah, yeah I'm good." He said and wiped his face with his hands, "I just haven't had much sleep last night and it's a relief to know that Liam is okay." He said and smiled softly, I wasn't completely convinced but I let it go.

He pulled up a chair and sat down on the opposite side of us, on the other side of Liam.

Liam was sleeping right now but not for long, our son will be returning to us soon.
