Liam's POV
It took three days before we were ready to go.
Dad was a bit reluctant to let me go, I think it was because it was too quickly. Pops was okay with it and he said I needed to spend time with Caleb which will be good for us.
Hunter was a bit nervous about being acting Alpha but he soon calmed down.
Caleb placed his Head Chef and Organiser in charge for the weddings, birthdays and company events he had planned for the time we'll be gone.
Caleb booked a small cottage house at the beach front which was almost 7 hours drive from us but I was excited. Road trip!
We packed food, clothes, our pillows (I was not going anywhere without my pillow) and our electronics. We were ready to go!
It was long drive. I wasn't the greatest singer but Caleb had a nice voice to which he insisted I sing along with him. We swapped places and he drove halfway while I drove the other half way there.
"It's beautiful." I said awed as I took the place in.
It was a small cottage like house 5 minutes walk from the beach front. There was one bedroom, one bathroom, a small kitchen and two couches in front of a TV.
I turned to look at him and raised my eyebrows when I noticed how red his cheeks were.
"I figured you know since we're uhm we're patching up one bed is fine." He said before he nibbled on his lower lip.
I chuckled softly before I walked over and wrapped my arms around him.
He sighed and relaxed as he hugged me back.
"It's perfect. Thank you."
He smiled before I leaned up and kissed him softly.
I pulled him closer and kissed him harder.
We both jumped and jerked around when the sound of long nails scratched against the lounge sliding glass windows.
"Bloody monkeys." I growled.
"Leave 'em alone. Just make sure all the windows and doors are closed when we're out otherwise our food will be gone."
"Yes Dad." I mused.
"I prefer Daddy." He winked.
My jaw dropped as he burst into laughter.
"I'm kidding. Maybe." He shrugged teasingly and turned around and walked out of the house to grab our stuff.
Who was this guy?
I helped him move everything into the little home and we made quick work of packing all the groceries away. I was still dealing with my issues and Hades made it a point of making us do things now instead of leaving it for later. Because if we left it for later, later might be never and we wanted to remove ourselves from that mindset.
"Race you to the beach!" Caleb yelled as he ran for the bedroom.
"That's cheating!" I screamed as he locked the door so I couldn't grab my shorts.
I heard his laughing as he shuffled for his shorts. I ran for the door, locked and took the key with me.
I smiled sweetly as he walked out before I walked in and locked the bedroom door.
"You asshole!" He screamed when he realised I had the key for the locked door, so he couldn't go to the beach.
I striped quickly and changed shorts.
He looked at me expectantly when I walked out and I unlocked the door.
We raced for the beach, each of us trying to delay the other. I smiled as I looked at Caleb and suddenly I never felt happier. I was in love with him. Not that I ever stopped.
I let him win the race and we spent the rest of what was left of the day at the beach, swimming into the ocean and playing in the sand.
He made us a light hake and chips dinner after we showered. As the day grew to a close and the night blossomed, nerves started sinking in.
We were going to share a bad. For the first time in a very long time.
