Weekend

Tatiana hung up with Tia Teresa. She was relieved to know that she was doing fine. She was bored and wanted to do something. She wanted to get out of the house. She already picked out what she was going to wear tomorrow. And there was nothing new going on social media. She walked out of her bedroom and into the living room. It looked like her father was busy. He had quite a bit of company. The men didn't look quite as old has Tatiana's father. They all turned their heads as Tatiana walked into the room.
“damn does she look like Gabriella?” blurted Lorenzo
“Wow, yeah no doubt that's so bizarre to a T” said Juliãn
“Hi, dad I need to get out of the house for awhile and get some fresh air can a go for a walk or something”
“Tatiana the streets are not the same as they were back home.”
Juliãn looked at the time and stated “if we gonna barbeque we should go get the grub before it get to late Prime”
“Yeah, I'll drive primo I can take Tatiana to the store with me she said she wanted to get out for a minute” said Lorenzo
“Wait, I don't know any of you” she said
“Oh I'm sorry sweetie these guys are your family cousins actually they moved out here two years ago when your Tia died.”
“Oh I see did they know my mom?”
“Yes, yes they did”
“Were all very sorry Tatiana”  they responded
“Yeah I guess I'd like to go with mi primo dad if it's okay.”
Dad chuckled “Sure just be careful wear your seatbelt Lorenzo is what we call a crazy driver”
“ shut the fuck up wey come on Tatiana vamos” as they walked out the front door.
They drove to  Carnicerias Guanajuato. She loved the drive over,  the wind blowing in her hair, the breath of fresh air and nothing beat that California tan. They got out Lorenzo looked at her and said “we're not going to hold hands but stay close to me. And don't talk to anyone. If they come up to you asking for money just keep walking. Or if they want you to buy something keep walking”
“Okay” she said laughing
They made it inside. Grabbed a cart and began to fill it. They got to the checkout and had to wait in line. when Akemi spotted Tatiana she ran up to say what's up.
“Tatiana” she shouted
Tatiana heard her name and  turned around. She seen Akemi running up to her.
“Heyy nice to see you around what's up how you liking California?”
“Not much” when Lorenzo put his hand on Tatiana
“It's okay primo she is a classmate from school I know her.”
“Oh okay my bad”
“Wow he is hot who is he?” she whispered
Tatiana busted out laughing
“Wow it's like that. Is that how you all do it here in Cali.?”
“No but seriously who is that could you hook me up?”
“Hmm yeah I think he's like 15 years older than you Akemi”
Lorenzo finished paying.
“Let's go Tatiana”
“Walk with me” said Tatiana
“So what you doing today?” asked Akemi
“we’re barbecuing you wanna come over?”
“Yeah! I'll quick go ask my mom wait for me okay.”
Akemi ran back in to go ask her mom if she could go to Tatiana’s. She said it was fine but to call when she was ready to come home. She came back outside and seen her helping Lorenzo put the food in the trunk of his black Cadillac.
“Tatiana!” running up to her. “Yes, I can come.” “Okay sweet”
She got inside the car. Lorenzo looked up at Tatiana. He gave her that what the fuck is she doing in my car look.
“I told her she could come with us. Dad won't mind I promise. I'll text him right now if you want.”
“No it's fine, oh shit I forgot the drinks Tatiana can you wait with your friend I need to run back in and get the drinks. What kind of soda do you like? Is coke good?”
“Yeah coke is fine”
“Okay give me 5 minutes”
“No problem I'll be fine”
She leans on the window talking to Akemi when a group of guys pulled up next to them. The two in the front got out of the car and headed inside. The other three got out and walked to the back of the car. Smoking. One of the guys looked over at Tatiana checking out her back side. And nudged the other two. They looked over rubbing their jaw. Akemi looked over at them and seen them staring. She grabbed Tatiana's arm leaned toward her and whispered “ you need to get in the car right now”
She gave her a confused look and asked “why?”
“There are some cholos checking you out get in the damn car” she whispered again
“um okay then” she answered
She turned toward them to walk around the car when one of the guys stopped in front of her blocking her way.
“Um excuse me may I please get thru” she said politely.
“Damn lil mami you looking delicious”
While the other one approached her from behind playing and smelling her hair
“She smells good too”
“You got a man baby girl?”
“No” she answered scared.
“I'm gonna make you mine shortie. I'm gonna give you the time off your life as he grabs himself with his hand.”
Tatiana looked down at where his hand was.
He chuckled.
“ Don't worry baby I got you. You'll get some I see your already looking you must be very thirsty”
The guy was still behind her he wrapped his arms around her “damn homie you gonna love this one she real nice and thick.”
Just as he squeezed her ass.
“She got a fat ass too.”
Suddenly Lorenzo walked out the store he seen the guys over by Tatiana. He rushed over. The guys moved away.
” Tatiana you okay?”
“Yeah I'm fine I just want to go home”
She never felt so violated. She didn't even understand what just happened.
He put the beers and soda in the trunk.
One of the guys nodded at Lorenzo
“ vato is that your lady she fine no disrespect”
Lorenzo walked up to the guys told them to back off she's only thirteen years old and not to ever disrespect his lil cousin again or there will be trouble.
He got in the car and drove off.
“Tatiana what happened?”
“Nothing primo everything is fine”
“I don't think so Tatiana that guy wanted to have sex with you. And the other guy was touching your ass!” Akemi shouted out loud
Lorenzo looked at tatiana and grabbed her arm squeezing firmly he touched you?”
Tatiana put her head down and didn't answer. “he squeezed tighter Look at me damnit did he touch you?”
“ yes, yes alright he touched me you happy now.” she answered.
They pulled in.  Tatiana stormed into the house and went straight into her bedroom and slammed the door. Joaquin got up and walked outside by Lorenzo and Akemi grabbing the bags and drinks.
“What's up with Tatiana” he asked
As he looks at Akemi
“you are?”
Oh I'm sorry my name is Akemi your your Mr. Joaquin. She stated
“Yes I'm Mr. Joaquin”
“Neither of you answered my question what happened to Tatiana”
“Lorenzo!”
“Primo I forgot the drinks so Tatiana stayed by the car I was gone for like five minutes.”
“okay and?”
Before he could finish Akemi answered “sir I'm one of Tatiana's classmates we ran into each other she invited me over for the barbecue. But it's true he went back inside. When some cholos showed up. I told Tatiana to get inside the car. She tried to walk around to get in the front passenger seat. When they blocked her. One of the guys was talking dirty to her about wanting to sleep with her and make her his. And the other one was grabbing her ass.”
His face got hot and red he clinched his hands together walked into the house he banged on Tatiana's door.
“go away please leave me alone”
Tatiana it's your father I need to talk to you.”
He came in sat at the foot of her bed.
“Tatiana are you okay?your friend is here and you and me are going to talk about this later go outside in the backyard and hang out ”
She freshened up and walked out by Akemi and flagged for her to come into her bedroom
“you good morena?”
“Who is that?” She asked
“That's what I'm going to call you from now on” answered Akemi
They both laughed
“okay, okay I got one for you”
“Alright it better be good I dont want something lame like one of the seven dwarfs. Or toilet paper or cheese.” she shouted
“Okay how about my Asian persuasion” she joked
“Haha hell no that's not the least bit funny.”
“I thought it was no maybe silent ” asked Tatiana
“hey that's not bad it's different I like it silent it is.”
“So now tell me about Lorenzo. I got the name down. Details morena details”
“okay, okay I really don't know much  about him”
“Who is this” as she picks up the picture of Gabriella from off of Tatiana's nightstand.
“ that is my mother” said Tatiana
“Wow she is freaking gorgeous.”
“She died from Cancer. But about Lorenzo he is my cousin  and I think he is like thirty Or something I don't know my dad is thirty six.”
“Your dad is Joaquin! Like oh my God. He is super hot.” shouted Akemi
“Yeah and eww that's so wrong on so many levels.”
Akemi walks into tatiana's closet “damn look at all these clothes and there all name brand. I wish my parents had money. These sandals are so cute can I try them on.”
“Yeah go for it.”
“You got some really hot clothes why don't you wear this stuff to school.”
“I don't know”  
“Where's the makeup?”
“I don't have any. I don't know much about girl stuff like that my mom didn't get the chance.”
“I'm sorry I didn't mean to…  you know…. well.. we will have to go shopping after school tomorrow let me text Yareli. We will get you up to speed and you'll be just like us in no time. Not that you need any help. I can't even believe them Sureños approached you like that.”
“you know who they are?”
“Well kind of but not really. I mean the tattoos kind of gave it away.”
“It's time to eat girls come outside” yelled Joaquin. Everyone was having a goodtime. Akemi left at ten. Julian and the rest of the guys but Lorenzo left about midnight. It was two in the morning Lorenzo and Joaquin were still sitting on the porch in the backyard reminiscing about old times. When Joaquin asked him about what happened at the store. Lorenzo explained that he was literally only gone five minutes maybe six tops. Then he asked who it was if he knew them. Lorenzo had assumed that they were Southside and told Joaquin. He wanted to find the guys that put there hands on his daughter. He thought he would have a few years to prepare to beat some boys ass for hurting his daughter. Tatiana came walking out of her room drenched in sweat. She had a nightmare. Of being attacked by those men and she was yelling for help but no one could hear her screaming. She was trapped. And they just kept circling her. She didn't know what to do. She ran up to her father crying.
“I want to go home I can't do this. I want to talk to my mom. I miss her why did she have to leave me why I don't understand.
Joaquin held her in his arms.
“this is your home I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I want to take away your pain. I want to heal your heart. If I could have taken her place. So she could be here for you I would. I miss her too. He explained
We all would have Tatiana your mom was special to all of us. Said Lorenzo
“And we will find them guys trust me.” he added
“Why don't you get something to drink maybe got take a shower and see if that helps you go back to sleep. If you don't feel up to school tomorrow you can stay home. And I can work from home tomorrow too if you want me to stay with you okay”
“I'll try”
As she walks away she turns around and says “thanks for saying them kind words about my mom love you guys”
“We love you too” they added
When you going to give her the gift from Gabriella? Asked Lorenzo
“When it's time.” he explained
“It's not time now?”asked Lorenzo
“ no not yet” Joaquin answered
