Them last two months flew bye. He didn't spend as much time as he wanted to with Mia everything was happening so fast it made his head spin. With paperwork, packing, work, and Graduation just around the corner. It left him with little time for family and friends. Mia was still in shock that he was seriously going through with it. She knew him to be a prankster and loved to mess with people. But He was very serious. It was finally Graduation day. They did a practice run all morning so he didn't see Mia at all. School ended and his family took him out to Maria's family restaurant before graduation he had to be back at the high school. There was some laughs, and then cries. It was about six o'clock when they pulled into the parking lot. Ramiro ran inside while his family parked there car. They all walked in and took a spot on the bleachers. The music came on the eye of the tiger! and it was loud the floor was vibrating. Least it was something decent. They were walking in by twos. Boy, girl and stood until the last pair walked through. The crowd was cheering. The speeches were short and to the point. It wasn't like them long lasting going on forever never gonna end speeches that you had no idea what the hell there rambling on about.

Finally it was time Ramiro Vedal Flores," said Superintendent Oscar Valdez as Pvt. Ramiro Vedal Flores walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma. Once he crossed the stage, he removed his navy blue cap and gown to reveal his dress blue bravo uniform. The crowd erupted into applause to show support for the Lincoln High School graduate who worked tirelessly to graduate early and walk after already earning the title of Marine. The very next morning his parents drove him out to the airport. Mia was supposed to meet him there and say their goodbyes. But of course when he got there she was nowhere to be found and he didn't want to waste his last moments with family trying to find her.

He said his goodbyes as He boarded the plane headed for Afghanistan. He thought he would send Mia an audio recording describing what was going through his mind as he was boarding the plane.

"I'm a bit nervous," he stated in the recording, "but excited, as well. I don't think it's really hit me that I've really left. Needless to say, I'm excited to see what's in store and really excited to get to know the mission and understand a better view of the job over there. He got to his seat and couldn't keep himself still. He appeared to be very fidgety and a bit agitated. The plane started to head out onto the tarmac for take off. So to calm his nerves, he listened to music. He had a playlist ready on his phone of his favorite artists.

He promised Mia he would stay in touch and write everyday.
