With both of laughing, we headed to the bookstore. The whole ride there we were listening to some of the super girly songs on the radio, singing along in fake, high pitched voices, mocking the singers. I liked half of these songs, but, it was still fun to goof around.

Eventually we pulled up infront of the bookstore. We both climbed out, both still giggling.

We went straight into the store, and straight to the counter.

"Hello Joey!" Joel, the cashier, said from behind the counter.

"Hey Joel. I'm here to get my shipment." I said, leaning against the counter. I've known Joel for a long time too. He's been working in this store since before I even moved here.

"Alrighty. I have them set aside in the back. I'll go get them." He smiled then disappeared into the back.

Turning around I looked at Angel. I had to cover my mouth to stifle my laugh.

Angel was pacing around by the front door, eyeing it like she was ready to bolt. Every once in awhile she would glance at me. 'She's probably making sure that you didn't leave her here alone!' I joked to myself.

Angel just isn't one for books. Or school. She tries to avoid it as much as possible. The only time she ever sets foot in one of these stores is when she comes with me. Even then she'd only come in if I was only gonna be a few minutes. It sounds like a phobia but really, she just despises the stuff.

After a few minutes, Joel returns holding a box with a giant UPS stamp on the side.

"Here they are Joey. So what'd you get this time?" Joel said, handing me the box.

"A new series and some other books to add to my collect. I'd love to stay and chat with you about them but I really think I should get Angel out of here.." I pointed over my shoulder to Angel, who was still pacing.

Joel chuckled. "Alrighty. See you later Joey. Bye Angel!" Angel looked up at the sound of her name and stopped pacing. She waved to Joel then looked at me. Seeing that I had my box and looked ready to go, she grabbed my arm and yanked me out of the store.

"Jeez Angel! Can't you just face you're fear of books already that way it wont be pure torture when you come with me?!" I laughed at her. She stopped walking and turned to face me, popping her hip out and crossing her arms. "Joey I am NOT afraid of books! I just don't like them. I get enough of this shit at school!"

"uh-huh SURE. Well let's go. Any places you want to hit before we go to Walmart?" I said, changing subject. She just smirked and leaned on the car, resting her arms and chin on the roof. "Oh yes I do. The mall."

"Ugh! Really Angel? You just have to pick that place?!" I yelled at her, really not wanting to go to the mall.

"That's what you get for making fun of me for the books." She smirked again, climbing into the passenger seat of my car.

Groaning, I complied and climbed into the car.
