Comfortable. That's how I feel right now.
Sighing contently, I rolled over onto my side and curled up into a ball. I kept my eyes closed, loving this feeling that's coming over me. I haven't felt like this in so long. Like I'm free.
"Joey!" I heard my favorite little girl's voice call my name.
"Kaycie!" I bolted up. I was grinning like a mad man. I get to see her again!
"Kaycie! Kaycie! Kaycie!" I yelled while scooping her up into my arms. "I'm back princess! Miss me?"
"Hehe, yes I did!" She laughed, hugging me tight around my neck. "Kaycie. Can't. Breathe." I stuttered out, her grip around my neck loosening. She leaned back to look at me, a giant smile playing on her face.
"Well, what do you want to do first princess?!" I asked her, looking around the field. It's the exact same field from my dream from a bit ago. "I know! I know!" She yelled, squirming out of my arms and running for the pond.
Laughing, I started following. Once I got close enough to her by the pond, I ran up and scooped her up. I started planting kisses all over her face. "Joeeey!" Kaycie giggled, trying to avoid as many as possible. Finally, I set her down on her feet.
Wiping her face, Kaycie took off running down the strip along the edge of the pond. Rolling my eyes, I started walking after her.
After walking for a bit, I found her sitting by the water. She had her feet dangling in part of the water and was sitting next to a fire pit. Smiling, I sat down next to her and pulled my shoes off, sticking my bare feet in the water.
I started looking around more, trying to see what good things we could do. Suddenly, I sucked in a sharp breath and looked at Kaycie, who was watching my face.
"Kaycie, I-Is this where I think it is?" I asked through a strained voice.
She just nods and lays her head in my lap. I started running my hands through her hair, trying to ignore the tears that were running down my face.
This was my favorite place as a child. My grandpa's farm. This is where we gathered for family time, or parties, and what not. We used to come here to the pond, build a bonfire and sit around for hours just talking and watching the beautiful fire.
We would also go four wheeling most of the days we were here. I would always put Kaycie on the back and we'd ride around, chasing the cows. Sometimes going up to the bigger pond towards the edge of the land to fish.
                              It was my life.
"Joey?"  Looking down, I saw Kaycie was staring up at me. Tears had started to fill her eyes.
"Oh Kaycie! Why are you crying princess?" I asked, hugging her tight to my chest.
"Because somethings wrong. You shouldn't be here for this long." Kaycie sniffled. "Oh princess! What do you mean?" She was scaring me. Does she not want me here for so long?
"Joey I love you. You need to go back. You can't be stuck here with me forever! Well just yet." She giggled. "But you need to go live your life. I'll see you again soon." She said, planting a kiss on my cheeks.
Before I could say anything, my world suddenly went black.
'Okay. You can wake up from your little nap now!' I yelled at myself.
Nothing happened. Why aren't I waking up? I always wake up right after visiting Kaycie. I'm just taking a nap. It's not like I'm dead!
Suddenly, I heard my name being called again. "Joey! Joey wake up! You have to wake up! Stay with me!"
F-Fallon? What's he doing in my dreams?
"Joey honey. Wake up!" I heard him call again.
                              "Fallon?" I squeaked out.
"Yes Joey! It's me. Open your eyes."  Doing as he said, I opened my eyes.
