"Fallon?" I asked, covering my eyes with my hands.
Everything was too bright to look at. I had a major headache and my whole body seemed sore. Just one little movement had my body screaming in pain.
My eyes finally adjusted enough to the light that I could finally Fallon was on his knees, upside down in-front of me. I couldn't understand why he was hanging from the ceiling until I realized I was the one hanging upside down from my seat-belt.
I gasped, taking in the whole situation. Apparently we crashed, and I was driving. I couldn't remember a thing at all.
Panicking, I started to undo my seat-belt but was cut off by Fallon.
"Joey, calm down. Everything's okay. You're okay. We're gonna get out of this alright, but you need to listen to me, okay?"
I nodded and let him help me get unbuckled and set me down by him. I couldn't move my leg so he had to help me alot.
"Here-" He said, handing me his jacket. "Cover your face. I need to kick the windshield out."
Covering myself, he kicked the windshield out. He scooped me up, then backed out though the newly made hole, being careful of my leg.
Once out, he stood up and walked over to the side of the road and sat us down in the grass. A giant mob had formed around the wreck, traffic getting so back up.
"Fallon, what happened?" looking back over at the scene, I felt my heart skip a beat. You could see my car, completely smashed and upside down. The other car I assume we hit was a few feet away, smashed together so much that I couldn't even recognize it was a car.
Fallon just looked at me and shook his head, tears filling his eyes. He hugged me so tight I thought he would hurt me worse, but he caused no pain.
"Joey, NEVER do that to me again!" He said sternly.
"Fallon," I said, pulling back so I could look him in the eyes. "What happened?"
A confused expression crossed his face. "You don't remember?"
I shook my head, sending a sharp jolt of pain up my spine.
"All I remember is us being at the mall. I don't remember anything after Angel and Kingston ran off.." I tried to think harder but my mind came up blank and I was getting a migraine.
Fallon let out a deep breath, shifting so that I was sitting in his lap and my leg was stretched out.
"I'm gonna try to just tell you what happened in order." He said, Kissing my forehead.
"We left the mall and went for our usual walk. You forgot your coat, of course." He chuckled. "Then we went to Rob's for a lunch. Jennifer showed up and-" he cut off.
"What Fallon?" I asked, reaching up and patting his cheek.
"Well, she did something stupid and she got her ass kicked for it." He laughed and kissed my cheek. "Apparently she got a good blow on you though before it was over. We started to go home but all of a sudden you zoned out. You started drifting into the other lane and we slammed into that car head on." He choked off at the end.
I couldn't understand why he was getting so emotional over it. I mean, YES it's a big deal but we're both alive, no one died..
"Joey, never do that to me again. When I woke up and saw you just hanging there, you looked so lifeless. I started calling your name and tried to get you to wake up but you wouldn't open your eyes. I thought I lost you forever Joes." He was hugging me now, his face buried into my shoulder.
"Fallon," I was starting to cry now. I could not believe all this had happened. I must have tourched him, being out for so long.
I started to say something to him but right as I opened my mouth to speak, a peramedic ran up to us and started to take me away from him. I would have protested but I was so exhausted I couldn't.
They took me to the ambulance and set me on the stretcher, giving me some pain meds.
I started feeling dizzy awhile later while they were working on me. One of the paramedics stopped and shined a light in my eye, but I couldn't focus. I knew I was about to slip unconscious.
"No, no no! Honey, you need to keep your eyes open. Stay with me now!" One of the paramedics started to gather some stuff to mess with me, but I couldn't tell what he was doing.
My eyes started to drift shut. I knew something was wrong. I already knew what it was. I was going into a coma. I might not wake up soon.
My last thoughts before darkness took over me was "Am I going to die?"
