Absolutely excited, I ran over to a bunch of rides and forced Harry to go on each one with me. I grabbed his hand and ran over to play a bunch of games afterwards, I was getting really competitive as I tried to squirt the water gun into the constantly moving holes. The bell rang and our time was up, hoping I would win, I squeezed my eyes closed and opened them to see Harry grinning like a fool.
"What was our bet?" he asked smirking.
"That whoever loses will do whatever the winner says..." I mumbled.
"... And I won!" he said happily, I couldn't help but smile a bit, he looked so happy.
"Can I get the pink teddy bear please?" Harry said to the man behind the counter. The man grabbed the cute stuffy and passed it over to Harry. I looked at him from the side of my eye, forcing myself to keep a straight face. I was actually quite disappointed, I had lost almost every game we played, I was definitely a loser today. He got up, walked in front of me and held out his hand with the teddy bear, grinning in my direction as he handed it over to me.
"Awww, I love you!" I said as I squeezed the teddy bear.
"Shall we go on one last ride?" he suggested as we interlocked fingers.
"Sounds good, the last one left is the Ferris wheel anyway!" I said as we walked up to the flickering lights of the massive Ferris wheel.
"Umm..." Harry stuttered and I burst out laughing.
"Are you scared?!" I joked punching his arm.
"Ummm, obviously not..." he said immitating my Canadian accent.
"Oh shut up and come on!" I said grabbing hold of his hand and pulling him onto the ride. "This is gonna be so much fun!" I squealed as the guy made sure we were sitting properly before pushing the button to get the Ferris wheel going. Looking over at Harry with excitement, I saw that he was slightly smiling to himself as he watched us get higher off the ground.
"It's amazing" he said as we both looked down and admired the ocean waves overlapping each other in the darkness. Just as I was marvelling at the beautiful town lights reflecting off the pitch black ocean, the Ferris wheel stopped suddenly. How ironic, so predictable yet so romantic. We both turned around to look at each other, I knew he didn't set it up because he looked quite terrified for a second. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Don't worry, I've got this" he said before leaning downwards and yelling at the man "Excuse me sir! Can we continue with the ride?" he asked politely, I don't know if screaming from the top of a Ferris wheel is polite but it was good enough.
"Lad, I'm afraid it actually broke..." he shouted from the ground.
"WHAT?!" Harry and I screamed in unison. You have got to be kidding me, but then again this place looked quite old and Harry did rent out the whole place for us.
"This is going to be interesting..." I mumbled to myself as Harry argued with the man below us. I have to admit, it was quite an amusing sight, Harry leaning over the edge while the man craned his neck to try to look at us from the ground.
I'm not even going to lie, I already am enjoying every minute of this!
