"Ella!" my uncle yelled as he waved his hands trying to capture my attention in between the large crowd at the airport. I smiled as I walked up to him, his face reminded me of my mother, they looked so alike I thought to myself. It was weird how I just noticed they looked alike after my mother's death, I probably noticed because I miss her so much. The last time I saw him was a year ago at her funeral, a memory I don't want to be reminded of.
"I missed you!" I said as I reached out and hugged him tightly, my eyes started to water but I just shut them trying not to let a tear escape.
After the warm welcome, "Breathe in the air of London sweetheart, because it's going to be your home for a while" he said as he grabbed my luggages and walked by my side. London Heathrow Airport was big, wait let me rephrase that, it was massive. It took a while to find the right exit but when we did, my uncle already had a Range Rover waiting by the exit door.
"Nice ride" I smirked as I got into the passenger seat.
"I know right?" he said happily as he turned the ignition on. You're probably wondering why I'm in London when I actually live in Toronto, Canada. I'll first start off by saying that I graduated literally a couple days ago and my father believed it was best for me to vacay somewhere other than Canada. Lately I had always been depressed and when I finally received a scholarship for a university in London, my dad was convinced that I travel there and stay with my uncle and see if I like it in London. So far, so good, the car ride to his place was entertaining and the weather was beautiful. We finally arrived at a huge mansion located in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. I couldn't believe my eyes, why was my uncle living in this mansion?
"Ummm, uncle Paul, I forgot... What exactly do you do for a living?" I asked as we approached a gate that automatically opened for him.
"I manage a boyband hun" he said and that was all I heard because a million questions were spinning around in my head.
