Summer to Remember

Chapter Eight

"That's funny" I chuckled after Rebecca's comment.

"No, I'm serious" she said with a straight face, "I remember when Paul showed him a picture of you and-" she confessed but got interrupted as Harry came to our table with our drinks.

"Thanks Harry" I smiled as he put my drink in front of me. He took the empty seat next to me and I couldn't help but think about what Rebecca said. She gave me a quick wink when Harry wasn't looking and I could feel my cheeks turn a crimson shade. In the middle of our conversation Rebecca's phone rang and she said she had to leave. We insisted she stay a little while longer but her ride had already arrived. She hugged Harry and I goodbye and before leaving she handed me a note with her phone number on it, written "text me".

"You like Rebecca?" Harry asked as we sat back in our chairs.

"Yeah, she's a great girl" I commented."To be honest, I thought she was your girlfriend at first though" I admitted shyly.

"Naaa, she's a childhood friend plus she likes Niall" Harry smirked. I grinned nodding and there was an awkward pause before he added "So I'm currently single".

"Yeah, join the club" I joked. We finished our drinks and decided to head home because it was almost time for dinner. Everytime we laughed at something on our way home I couldn't help but get distracted by his beautiful smile.

"Looks like the lads are here" Harry said as we reached the front door of my uncle's house. He unlocked the door and we were surprised to find the rest of the boys in the foyer.

"Where you guys been?" Louis asked curiously.

"Starbucks!" I chimed in.

"Had a good time?" Zayn said as he winked at Harry. Oh my gosh, why do boys always make situations so awkward?

"Yeah, it was fun" Harry confessed. Niall and I ended up watching a UK show for about an hour while the rest of the boys went to upstairs, I have to admit Niall was hilarious, I had such a good time with him!

"Dinner's ready!" Liam screamed from the kitchen. We all sat around the dining table and devoured delicious spaghetti. My uncle wasn't there for some odd reason but I thought nothing of it, he was probably busy like always. We had finished our supper and were discussing something when my uncle walked in.

"Hey! I have some news for you guys..." he explained.

"What is it?" I asked with curiosity.

"Well, you know your Aunt is in Australia and we decided that I need a vacation so I'm going to be flying over there"

"That's awesome, for how long?" I exclaimed.

"Leaving tomorrow and won't be back until September" he revealed.

"Oh... Am I going to be here alone?" I mumbled disappointed by the news.

"No, the boys are going to be staying with you" he said smiling.

"Yeah, we'll stay here the whole summer" Louis grinned nudging Harry's arm. Well this is going to be an interesting summer...
