"How do you like that huh bitch?"

Jaeyoung got a punch to the stomach by Jiah. Even though she was suspended, that didn't mean she and her friends couldn't make Jaeyoung suffer outside of school.

It's only been half of the week since Jiah got suspended. And Jaeyoung knew that she can't escape anything, and that her life can still be hell. The constant beatings from home and Jiah with her friends, she just want to run. Run far away with her mom.

But she'll put up with it for now. And live on for her mother.

Jaeyoung whimpers, the lunch hurting like a bitch. She coughs for a bit before another punch hit her face. Jaeyoung spat some blood out onto the pavement as the blood from her nose drips onto her.

"I swear I will make you pay for ruining my reputation!" Jiah yelled at Jaeyoung and her two friends agreed, making "comments" telling Jiah that she did nothing wrong, and it was all Jaeyoung's fault.

Jaeyoung wipes the blood from her mouth and nose, pretty sure it was either broken or really bruised. "Well if you didn't attack me in class yesterday and kept your composure then this shit wouldn't have happened now would it?" She smirked, stating a fact instead of talking back.

"Why you—!"

"Hey! Stop right there!" A voice called and Jiah (with friends) panicked, booking it out of there.

Jaeyoung coughs for a bit, hunched over on the pavement. The person rushed over to the female, checking to see if she was alright. Jaeyoung just wipes her mouth once finished her coughing fit. The person tries to help her up.

"Y-You alright?! Do you need me to bring you somewhere??" The voice said frantically.

Jaeyoung looked up to see the school's president, Kim Namjoon.

"N-No... I-I'm—" Jaeyoung pauses to cough "—fine... I'll be o-okay on m-my own..."

Namjoon shook his head. "No. Your not fine. I just saw you get beat up!"

"I said I'm fine. Please leave me alone...."

Namjoon ignores Jaeyoung and slung her arm over his shoulder/neck, the other hand holding her waist. Jaeyoung squirmed but whimpers in pain, so her struggle was very weak.

"Where do you live?" Namjoon asked as he started walking

"N-Not telling— ow... y-you..." Jaeyoung glares at Namjoon with one eye while the other one was closed because of the pain.

Namjoon sighs "I'll find out soon."

So the two just walk. Namjoon tried to make small talk to get some hints but Jaeyoung wouldn't talk. But to Jaeyoung's surprise, Namjoon was heading into the direction of her house. The female started to panic once she saw the car in the driveway and the alcohol bottles all around her yard.

"Is...this your house?" Namjoon asked, stopping at the exact house.

Jaeyoung stared up at it, her heart sinking. Slowly, she nodded. Namjoon takes in the look of the house, getting an uneasy feeling.

"Let me walk you in...—"

"No!— I-I mean... n-no thanks..." Jaeyoung was scared, but she tried to compose herself in front of Namjoon.

Namjoon glances to her "you sure? Can you even walk?"

Jaeyoung was hesitant, but slowly shook her head, "J-Just... help me into the window over there..." Jaeyoung pointed to the window on the first floor.

Namjoon thought it was a strange request but he does so, still having that uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. Soon, Jaeyoung was in and she quickly but quietly closed the window behind her before Namjoon could say anything.

Namjoon's gut was telling him to get the fuck out of there, but his body was telling him to stay. But one of his friends came up to him, and before he knew it, he was being dragged away by said friend.

Jaeyoung on the other hand, had snuck upstairs to her room, glad her father didn't see her but her mother did. Jaeyoung makes it to her room quietly, thanking the lord that her father was passed out on the recliner.

When Jaeyoung was in her room, not even 5 minutes later, there was a soft knock on the door.

"C-Come in Eomma..." Jaeyoung said softly.

Jaeyoung's mother almost immediately walks in. "Jaeyoung sweetie, are you okay?? Does it hurt?? How did you get home? I saw you crawl all the way up the stairs!" She said frantically, obviously worried.

"Eomma, I'm fine... just... bullies... but school's almost over! And soon I can get that job and—"

"But your hurt! It looks like it will leave some week-long damages!" Her mother cut her off, checking her daughter's face carefully.

Jaeyoung winced in pain slightly at the slightest touch which made her mother worry more. "I got helped by the guy who has one of the highest IQ's in the school. But... I didn't want him to see how we live... I don't want to be taken from you!"

Her mother was a bit surprised but smiled, "I don't want to lose you. Your the only person who cares about me, the same way I care about you. Your the little angel in my life."

Jaeyoung smiles slightly, hearing those words.

"I'll go get you the first aid. Will you be okay bandaging yourself?" Her mother said, standing up from kneeling.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Jaeyoung said with a smile.

Jaeyoung's mother nodded and headed off to get the first aid. Once got, she handed it to her daughter, softly kissing her head before leaving. Jaeyoung treats her injuries before getting changed into her PJ's and crawling into bed. Starting up at her ceiling, her mind was completely blank. But soon, she slowly fell asleep, and the same boy came and healed her wounds once again.
