》chapter 2《

It was a long journey and I spent most of it with my brother Tyrion. We discussed all sorts of things that were impossible to discuss with our siblings for they would never understand our interested in the extinct dragons or foreign laws that would never come to be in our own world.

I also spent a great deal of time with Sandor Clegane. My father asked for him to look after me in my pregnant state and left Jaime to have a closer eye at the crown prince.

Conversations with Clegane was quite one-sided. I did most of the talking while he grunted in response. I liked talking to him though. I could tell him anything knowing that he wouldn't tell anyone else for he did not care enough to tell anyone about my minor problems.

Like the conversation, we were having right now. "...and I haven't felt anything for a few weeks now. I'm afraid something might be wrong, but we don't have any maesters with us since the king said there was one in Winterfell."

I was sitting on a rock by a small lake while Clegane stood a few meters away. I looked over at him and squinted my eyes from the sun that shined from behind him. "You sure you don't want to sit down? You've been standing there for quite some time."

"No, milady," he grunted as per usual.

I rolled my eyes. "is that all you can say?" I asked, then imitated his gruff voice. "'Yes, milady' and 'No, milady.'"

"The fuck you want me to say then?"

I was about to say something clever back but then I felt it. A kick. Against my hand that hasn't left my belly since my baby stopped showing signs of existence. I laughed out loud delight, but it sounded more like a cry which Clegane noticed.

"What's the matter with you, woman?" he asked, rushing over.

"Give me your hand! Give it to me!" I asked. He hesitated but gave it to me none the less. I placed it on my belly, and he was just about to remove it, but I gripped it tightly. "Feel. It."

He sighed and let me keep his hand, and there it was again. A little kick. I smiled brightly at him in relief and happiness. He raised an unimpressed eyebrow at me, but I didn't miss how the corner of his lips twitched slightly.

When we walked back to our company, I put my arm around his to not stumble over the uneven ground. He looked at me with another sour expression.

"Oh please," I exclaimed, "You can't deny me this. I'm a lady."

His judging look stayed lingering on me, so I added. "-and I'm pregnant,"

My brother Tyrion stood by one of the first tents and looked up at us in amusement. "Have you finally found your knight in shining armour, little sister?" He joked.

I griped Sandor's arm tighter with both my arms and smirked at my brother. "I just might have."

Sandor didn't find it as funny as I did, for he ripped his arm from me and walked off. My brother and I both tried to contain our laughter until the big man was out of sight.

"He is one grumpy man, that Clegane." My brother said.

I nodded my head and giggled. "I think he missed me," I joked.

Tyrion laughed. "Well, we all did." His tone wasn't as gleeful when he said that.

I sighed. "I'm sorry that we never visited."

"Don't worry, but why didn't you? For two years?"

"There was a lot going on and Hugh was constantly stressed over not getting any heirs," I explained.

"It can't have been easy."

"It wasn't," I said. "I could constantly hear whispers that it was something wrong with me, that I would be the downfall of their house and so on,"

"And look at you now!" He exclaimed pointing at my belly, trying to lighten the mood.

I laughed.

The next day when we were to leave, I was about to get on my horse when my sister came walking towards me.

"You're are riding in the carriage," she demanded.

I rolled my eyes, "I can ride just fine myself."

"You are almost 8 moons pregnant." She exclaimed. "The carriage, it is."

"I'm fine,"

"You can't even get onto the horse by yourself." She was glancing at Sandor beside me, ready to lift me onto the horse when I realised that the stool wouldn't be enough. "not to mention that you look like Robert."

I looked over at the King who was wider than his horse. I understood what she meant.

"Is that really something a wife should say about her Lord Husband," I mocked her.

She rolled her eyes and turned back to the carriage. I looked back at Sandor with a defeated look. He didn't say anything, so I just followed after my sister.

The rest of the journey was just as boring but as the winds grew colder, I knew that we weren't far from Winterfell. And I right, for I could soon see the towers of Winterfell behind the hills.
