Meeting my grandmother that has cheated death more than my own father, yesterday was the most important, crazy, insane, and scary part of my life. She helped me with controlling my magic. She knew the storm swirling inside of me. She knew what the fire burning inside of my body felt like. She helped me turn it off. She helped me snap it all off. Landon is more powerful than we think. He can die but he can come back to life. I'm not sure how many lives he has. I'm not sure if it's an infinite amount of lives or if it's a nine lives kind of thing. Esther hasn't really talked much about herself. She's very odd and mysterious. She reminds me of Freya and Elijah a lot. They are both very quiet but powerful people. Dad and Rebekah are loud and powerful. They make people know they are here. That's what I love about my family. We are so different but so much alike. We are the same but not. We walk together but we walk on different paths.

"Awe. Painting. What a beautiful thing to do when stressed." Esther says when she walks in my room. I continue painting then turn a little to look at her.

"Yes I agree. It is wonderful. I'm not sure how the talent came to me. It started when I was really little." I say and she smiles.

"That's how it was with Niklaus. His biological father was very artistic." She says smiling.

"He was my first love. Your father's father." She says and I smile.

"Mikael wasn't?" I ask and she smiles.

"He was a man I was forced to marry." She says and I nod.

"There was a lot of that back then." She says and I nod.

"Yeah, we learn about that a lot in history. But no one ever knows the actual story of our family." I say and she smiles.

"We have a lot of family secrets huh?" She says and I smile. She is truly a beautiful lady.

"You remind me a lot of my mother. Your hair. It's the same color. Reddish and Auburn. You can't tell if you're a redhead or if your hair is brown." She says and I smile.

"I usually say I'm a redhead because I had really vibrant red hair when I was little," I say and she smiles.

"I see. In the pictures." She says picking the picture up and sitting it down.

"My mother was a beautiful lady. She was very magical and loved magic. When Niklaus was born she fell in love with him. He was the only one she was ever proud of. Which I hated her for. Because that wasn't fair to the other kids. She knew my secret love for another man. She kept my secret from my father. But she loved my son." She explains and I listen willingly.

"So your mother looks a lot like me?" I ask and she nods.

"Identical." She says and I smile.

"She had your eyes. Your hair. Your height. And she loved your father." She smiles and I laugh.

"I do love my dad," I say smiling.

"Grandmother always was very loving towards me. She always told me I would have hope one day." Dad walks in saying. I look up and smile at his words.

"She always did say she saw the future," Esther says and I smile.

"Hope knew when The Hollow was coming." Dad says and I frown.

"Well, she probably got Grandmother's genes. All of them." Esther says and I shake my head.

"I don't think that's possible. She wasn't a tribrid." I say and Esther nods.

"You're right she wasn't. But she always talked about mixed creatures. She told Niklaus he was a mixed breed and in the future he would a tribrid. Of course, Niklaus didn't know what it meant. No one did. We all thought she was just getting old." Esther says and I nod.
